Snow day, but we went into the bigger town because husband wanted swiss cheese. So we went and bought groceries because we were there. In the 20's still, snow on the ground. Went through a drive thru for lunch and I had philly cheese steak and a german chocolate milkshake. That place has 101 milkshake flavors.
Milk Shakes are my downfall.
Mint chocolate
Orange cream

OMG.

The stock market is because a bunch of people on reddit decided to play a game with it and massively inflate a few small, failing stocks for fun. It made it really obvious how much of a clown show the stock market it actually is, that is why it fell so much today.

More work on the rental property.

Start of day

The ledger boards are in and ready for joist hangers. I have a pile of trash bags that will fill a pickup that will get loaded tomorrow.

The neighbors came by this evening to say hello and to thank us for letting them use their freezers in our outbuilding. They don't use electricity, but we do. They brought by a bunch of hamburger, frozen peaches, strawberry jam, canned beets, homemade bread, jalapeno sausage, and some hard candy. Sweet family. The man will be helping our grandson repair our fencing where the fenceboards have come down when the weather gets better.

So great to see neighbors working together. 👍

A quiet day, cold and windy outside, got a few indoor chores done.

This evening the youngsters came up and we had a little supper and cake for dad. He turned 87 today. Blessed that he is still here. A year ago today he was in the ICU and I'd been told he'd never leave.

Today the temperatures dropped like a rock and the winds came up, I am hoping the power stays on. Last night I did a little clean up an trying to get thing where I can take off a couple of days. I am seeing more cucumbers with blooms, fun stuff.

Stoking up the fire this morning as it's ccccold this morning. I'm so glad I bought the biggest fire box years ago.
Holds a good fire all night.
Only clean it out about every 10 days.
25 degree this morning and windy.

Will be leaving about 10am for MRI for wife , while I'm visiting the electrophysiologist next door.

Glad we got them scheduled same day , one trip to big town.

Maybe Texas Roadhouse for lunch. 😎

Yall stay warm and safe.

Got up rreeeaaaalllllyyyyy early - like, still-last-night early - to drive my husband in to Cincinnati for a flight. Icy roads, fun, fun. Didn't go through downtown or anything, but still got my fill of city driving.

DH will be driving back home over the next couple days. Please say a prayer for him and his safety, if you're the praying sort. It's roughly a 1000 mile trip. My concern is that he's the kind to push himself and keep driving rather than spend $ on a hotel room.

Hopefully he will be careful. We live in dangerous times and caution is important.

In Town for a hair cut and a few bolts from the hardware.
Attended a government entity meeting. I agreed to serve the remaining term of an elected representative that had previously resigned.
Installed Comm gear on an extremely affordable vest. Not perfect but tolerable considering. If I had a few 1" velcro strips ...
This evening attending a Conservation club meeting to renew my annual membership.

Had planned on a beach trip yesterday since it was so warm but instead decided to do some work and not risk van breaking down on the way. A risk I'd take but then I don't have to work on it on the side of the road.
Today canning some beans but forgot to buy carrots, usually can no less than 25lb.s organic carrots, less wouldn't be worth setting up.
So another lost chance of escape to a place of freedom fom isolation.

Its not kokamo but its nice,

Wife got her MRI.
Wait now for doctor to call to come and schedule surgery.

Got a great report from electrophisologist doctor.
He was surprised how much stronger my heart is than 3 months ago.
He was really happy.

I guess the daily riding the bike and compression socks did a good job.
Wants to see me in a year.

Still sitting in parking lot.

I wanta go home.(Bobby Baer )

Long day

Great news now hoping the wife get soem great news too she sure is in store for ssome.

I went to Walmart first thing this morning for monthly stock up.

Then Kroger for sodas for DH.

Then thrift stores. I hit the jack pot on jar lids! Two trash bags full of new lids, some with bands, some plain lids! $5 total! She says they have jars but she couldn't leave the register to get them. I will go back Monday and see what I can get. She said she will set some aside for me! I almost got a case of quarts at Walmart and then didn't.

Consult with the vascular surgeon, we'll schedule the doppler and see what the next steps are. On the bright side, my hospital stay ruled out a metric ****-ton of causes. Somebody call Dr. House and his team.
