Went to the feed store for chicken food, and found out they don't do game bird food there. So went to the bigger town to Tractor and found the turkey starter I'll need next week when babies come in. Also found some bare root grapes, blackberries, and raspberries. We went to the JohnDeere place and bought a ride em mower, and looked at what tractors are in stock. Visited my favorite cousin after that. Old man cat is happy I'm home now and is crashed out on my lap. Kids have a four day weekend.

Today was all electrical work.

I will be working solo tomorrow but I have a lot of wire in ny past.

A quiet day after being sleep deprived. I slept almost 11hrs, way to long. had the alarm set but slept right through it (see rant thread). Supposed to freeze tonight. I cut up cardboard boxes to put on the floor, going to bring porch plants in the house after supper.

Went to Walmart with wife (see rant thread"

Today has been quiet, I ran to W-mart and got 10 boxes of canning lids for $3.19 a box (they had about 40 boxes left). Tonight and tomorrow night it is going to get down to about 25 but I had put some plants outside, my new rule is once they go out they don't come back in... So, I moved 4 window boxes of bush beans into the covered raised beds and the other 10 containers got moved into the car tent. It will not keep them from getting cold but it may keep them from dying. By Sunday the temps are expected to be back where the lows are in the 40s & 50s so after that it will be safe to move more plants outside. I had to re-thread the wife's surger, that will test your eyesight.... Her machine is now working again so she is happy.

Supposed to be mid to upper 20's here tonight and tomorrow night. I moved my plants in the basement (all of 20-30'). Hope the blueberries come thru ok. They haven't opened the buds yet, so they should be fine.
Been busy at work this week, lots going on. The union votes tonight on the new contract. Sure hope that passes. Life will be hell for the duration if it don't.

When I was in HS, I had an alarm truck that was on par with a fire truck. I would set it in a metal pot to make it louder and there were times, my mom would still come in from the other end of the house and tell me my alarm was going off.

Surgers are tedious to thread no matter your eyesight.
Today is the first of the month, first of new quarter, and first payroll in new platform, in addition to a trip to the powder-coater and several odds and ends errands, steel order and pay bills. Wahoo!
It's Mundy Thursday & tomorrow Good Friday, then of course Easter is Sunday. At last Spring 🌷

Escorted the concrete trucks from the paved rd to our place so they didn't get lost, talked to our realtor about some land down the road, might have found a milk cow and now I'm exhausted. Don't know why.... I didn't actually do anything.

Doing nothing really takes a toll the older you get.

Doing nothing wears me out.

Finally completed the horse fencing today. Trimmed a few trees so the horse can walk around without ducking. Helped the girls dig rocks out of the horse area, some were bigger than basketballs, most are softball sized. They asked how we got lava rock all over when the volcanoes were about 10 miles away, I said it was a big bang when they blew themselves up. The horse came to visit for about an hour, they will slowly get him used to his new home before he moves up here permanent.

Fried breaded porkchops and creamy mushrooms for dinner. GF has the KETO recipe for the breading and the mushrooms perfect. It may be my new favorite dinner, outside of special occasion stuff.

I don't even have a camera or mic hooked to my computer & I don't have any of the software for Zoom or the video chatting stuff. Doesn't work well with satellite.

I loved Monticello! We used to visit there when I was a kid & we lived in Manassas. I still remember my address there on Birchwood ct. Corner of Stonewall. The house had some additions since we lived there.

What is the link to the leather thread?

Weather here is being bipolar. It was very warm & mosquitoes came out & bit the hell out of me the other day but now it's cool again. Down to 45°. I had another fatigue day where I barely dragged myself out of bed to cook for mom. She wanted me to make something that involves a heavy pot & is difficult for my arm/rotator cuff so I convinced her to get something else to eat.

I *think* the bleach down the condensate line worked but am not sure since the weather is cold again. I may have to turn the heat on.

Hoping to do something productive today.

Yesterday got a note at the last second wanting me to rewrite someone else's work, they need it by first thing this morning..... :( Read the document, reviewed the changes in scope, went to bed to think on it, woke up at 03:00 to get started.... This is going to be a long day.

The wife wanted a leg of lamb for Easter dinner, went to pick one up, it was just short of $50, I should have said they were out.....

Tonight I plan to set aside excess plants that I am giving away. I had much more success at getting plants started this year and I just don't have the room for them all. I figure I can give away 3 trays and still have everything that I need. I was hoping to double the size of my raised beds for tomatoes, but the cost of lumber was just too high for my pocket book right now....

Here but I think there are more in the crafts & art section :)

Wade though a web site trying to figure out how I can order additional alarm sensors. I was successful!

With is upset. Late last night (she's a night person, I'm not) she tried to send out a bulk email to her customers. Failed. My responsibility to fix. No rush, anytime this morning. Test my email account, it fails too. Power cycle computer, emails still fail. On to my next project.

Figured out how to do a custom green screen for a zoom "meet & greet" season on Saturday.

Send a test mail using the wife's account...WORKS! Send another test using my account, WORKS! Retype wife bulk email, add her customers as BCC and send. Stuck in the outbox. When she gets home I'll ask her to try sending from her smart phone. On to my next project. Installing a short stroke kit in the 1866 rifle.

Had to build a fire last night. Temps down in low 20s.

Heat pump never kicked on.

Still shedding the lbs.
2 weeks ago I was 252 ,today 243. Won't be long, I'll be a walking toothpick.😊

May go back to other side of Amish community to check on drops for firewood.

Then Go for our Friday night fish dinner.
Who knows what we'll do in between.

Wife is over the allergy attack, I'm nearly over it.

Lazy day today.

Y'all stay warm and happy.

Drove Pops to get his heart monitor put in this morning. That darn thing is tiny! You can barely tell it's there. They gave him a little box to put by his bed and every night it will electronically connect to that box and load all his heart rhythms to the memory card. Then once a week the box will connect itself to a cell phone tower and load all that info straight to the cardiologist office.

The procedure took seven minutes. The incision was so small they just superglued it shut. And then they sent us on our merry way. I'm sure the doc was smiling about all the money that Medicare is about to pay for that 7 minutes of work...🙄

Sheep, my wife was hit head on in 1991. Broken neck resulted. She didb3 years of therapy to get as much back as she could. But she also had PTSD from it. She couldn't drive at all for nearly 6 months and every time we went anywhere she was constantly flinching, jumping, yelling and time a car pulled up to a side street, headed opposite us and she thought was too close. All I could do was try and talk her down and try not to let it startle me into reacting to another car and make it worse. Took even longer for her to get past that. She will still flinch at times to certain things. Jusy gotta work thru stuff like that best you can.
That could be what my wife is going through, she yells when traffic comes from the side road and when vehicles stop quickly in front of us.

I st on the front porch waiting for the snow to roll in last night. I was suprised by visitors.

The male was leading them up toward my garden but changed his mind when I stepped out on the front stoop.

The snow started soon thereafter.

Today I had a quick appt to check how the blood pressure medicine is doing and I should be cleared for the oral surgery in 3-4 weeks.

Side bar
I had been planning to get all my teeth pulled for years because modern dentistry was one of the few areas of thriving post TEOTWAWKI that I didn't have covered beyond a thought of brewing up sone nitrous oxide and let my son yank a bad tooth and or figuring out how to produce penicillin. So I was am looking forward to getting the teeth pulled.

But God works in mysterious ways.

Instead of being free of modern medicine I may be dependent on blood pressure medicine. I should investigate alternatives....

I did get to do some outlet wiring today. Not much but progress .

Tomorrow after the girls depart (it is a sleep over night) I hope to do more wiring as well as Sunday. Wiring and plumbing are the two areas where I can augment my brothers skills and tools.

So it was a good day and I am looking forward to more.

Behave!

Had a holiday from work today. Got a text last night that the Union voted to accept the new contract. What a relief.
Today worked on the raised beds a little more. Figured out I was a couple boards short on my build, so gotta go to Lowes in the next day or two. Mowed most of our place. Some areas are still way too wet, so can't do it all.

The good news is the naughty pictures in the sidebar finally gave the little X option so I Xed them and put "inappropriate" in feedback so it's changed to things like office supplies and shoes. I appreciate not seeing those things.
Listed the house up the mountain today - big prayers for a quick and healthy priced sale 😊
Planted spinach, kale, lettuce, and cilantro today. Then continued on the task of cleaning up computer files and deleting a bunch!

Went to a friends house for a memorial gathering for his wife that passed a couple weeks ago. I was pleased there was a good turn out of friends and neighbors in addition to the family that showed up. Before we left home the girls put the turkeys in the new horse coral. I was concerned about the possibility of a stray dog wandering down the road because I didn't put the welded wire fence on the 12' horse gate yet so I brought out some chicken wire and tied it to the gate, and we were pleasantly surprised at the wild turkey hen walking in our yard on the other side of the fence. She must have been coming to visit our heritage turkeys. Tomorrow I will place some feed and water on her side of the fence so when she returns she will find a treat and maybe bring her friends. Technically it will just be extra feed for our birds as they jump the fence and wander around the rest of the yard on a regular basis. They know where home is so they never leave the property.
We picked up more horse supplies today while in town so I started the install of the solar hot wire along the top of the fence. Also bought some of the metal wire ties they use for tying rebar when doing cement work, I had one of the girls go around and tie the welded wire fence to the wire I ran between the T-posts. She did about 70 ties in less time than I did 20 when I was using bailing wire and pliers a few days ago. Glad I thought of them.

Today is nice out 65 deg.
So I'll get the tractor out and do some driveway grading, after all the heavy rains.

Wife picked up a couple nice ribeyes for the grill then my stomach. Losing them lbs .

Oldest granddaughter is coming over for wife to alter her prom dress for better fit.

Gotta put out some more corn for my deer herd.

Then I'm taking the rest of the day off.

Pleasantries to y'all.
