Cool, gray and rainish, nothing till my Board of Zoning Appeals meeting tonight.

I have a dripping bathroom faucet from Moen. I went to www.moen.com, took a picture of my faucet, downloaded it to their faucet identifier, and it came back to the exact faucet. I then called 1800 BUY MOEN, spoke to the girl, and she is sending me out two free cartridges in the mail. No receipt, nothing. This is GREAT customer service!

Spent a couple hours this morning with a former comrade who had a layover at the big airport. Funny how we all seemed to be so similar back in the day and now we all seem so different. Except for me of course because I have clearly refused to conform to the married with 2.5 children and a 30 year mortgage standard. This particular guy has found Jesus in a big way and that helped him keep his demons quiet at night. So much so he got ordained and is preaching to a flock now. And good for him. That's a whole lot better than giving in and giving up like our mutual friend did last week. Anyway it was nice to see him again and who knows, could be the very last time. The plan he flew out in was a Boeing.

Are they going to charge you shipping?
They have others before.

Been yakking on the phone for over an hour.
Mainly I'm just saying "Hmm, really now, I didn't know that, do tell"
Otherwise I just listen to someone whose upset with their life vent.
Before anyone gets upset with my comments.
My Aunt has dementia and nearing the end of her life.
She just wanted someone to talk too.
She is my Dad's older sister.
She misses her family, her kids and grandkids don't have much time for her.
It doesn't mean I don't care.
But each have our own way to deal with dementia family members.

Went to the doctor's appointment with Mom. They had me sit in the waiting room while they set up her insulin pump and then had me come in about 30min later. Apparently, they had the pump synced with her dexcom g7 sensor until I came in. Then it unsynced. NP showed me how to put insulin into the thingamabob and how to insert the cannula but then it wouldn't sync to read her blood sugar. We waited 15min, went outside to see if signal made any difference, nothing. After about 30min we finally called it quits. We all went home (including the NP who left shortly after we did).

Got home and it still would not sync up (and my cellphone isn't getting signal). NP indicated she would be calling so I called the doctor's office to see if she had tried calling and she had not, but I gave an alternate number since cell isn't working. I read that the transmitters for dexcom g7 can't work with more than one device and online guides said to turn the G7 receiver off. I did that and about 10minutes later the Tandem synced up but then it said "incomplete bolus" and the screen only stays on for 2 seconds before turning off. Not sure how to change that and I'm afraid to mess with too much on it. It's really too small for me to read much on it. The NP called and I explained what was going on. She had me check the onboard insulin and what Mom's sugar reading was and said she'd call back in about an hour. But Mom already hates the pump.

Finally got groceries put away, but still need to put some of the storage stuff up. Picked up the two boy cats. They were happy to be home and to eat and drink. Bowie got his ears cleaned and his abcess lanced while he was asleep. Antibiotic for him twice a day for 2 weeks. So they are both now eunichs. I hope Bowie stops fighting. He looks like a trash cat.

If I accept normal shipping (which I did), there is no charge at all. If I needed overnight delivery, I would have to pay for the shipping. A drip an hour isn't a big issue. If it was, I'd just drive to my Home Depot a mile away and grab the cartridge I need.

I was fixing stuff, stopped for a coffee, got side tracked here, going to go finish fixing stuff before the forklift bleeds down and wrecks other stuff.

At least you didn't set the phone down, walk away to do something else, and call out "uhuh" from time to time. My dad's sister apparently did this with their mother. One time when my dad was visiting the phone rang, his mom picked it up and had a 30minute conversation with someone. Dad asked "Who was that, Ma?" and she said "Wrong number". It can be tough when someone has dementia and keeps repeating the same thing over and over again. So, no judgment here.

@Mountain trapper : trying to look up cornea separation but all I keep getting is retinal detachment, which as you'll find out is pretty serious but treatable. Hope she's okay soon. They say it is nothing to mess around with and should be treated as an emergency or blindness can result.
Symptoms, anyone is at risk of this:
A lot of new floaters (small dark spots or squiggly lines that float across your vision)
Flashes of light in one eye or both eyes
A dark shadow or “curtain” on the sides or in the middle of your field of vision

When it is as hot as it is now one of the best things to do is put a fan in the opening to your attic and raise the windows about 1/4 on the SHADY sides of the house. It will draw the cooler air from the shady sides in and cool the air in the attic by a lot also cool the roof top.

I have done that for years my power bill is about $120 a month and the wife and the grandkids keep at least two TVs on half the lights and MY OD hot water heater in the back bath has two 40 amp breakers on it.

The HVAC unit is the size of a VW beetle. and it stays 70 to 72 in here by the schedule even when it was over 100 and over 60% humidity.

If I did this place like the other it would do 75 dollars a month, it has nearly 3 feet of overhead insulation, but wood siding.

A weird Wednesday

All was ok until I lost power around 4.30 pm got it back after 8 pm
I phoned with my landline phone and the guy said its because of *green *
I replied WTHeck is green ... he said probably a part of a tree fell on a wire
Oh boy! sigh!
I told him *You mean a tree branch fell not stupid green!!!*
He said *Yeah some like that ..
I did reply * Oh Boy Oh Boy (retard!!)
Need a break from idiot company!!!

Anyway now power is back. I need a BEER ;)

Now getting in a better mood

Good night and sleep in the cool everyone 😛

Sleepover at Dad’s. Ten minute storm (high winds and thunder) took out the power on just my street. Heard a loud pop then darkness. Dad is right next door and he has power. Packed up Heidi and decided I want to sleep in AC. Plugged the fridge into the aecoflow left the porch light turned on. Power company estimates it will be back on by 9 am.

Funny thing is for about an hour or so before the storm I was so dizzy. Stopped right after we lost power.

Went to the farm for hand tools for a Job.
Took in strap copper wire & got $202.50.
Found cheese on sale half off.
Refrigerator died & lost a lot of food.
Okay, @joel you are very fortunate. My husband had a bit of copper wire he'd gotten for me from a work friend but I didn't need near as much as what he brought home. He then tried to sell it but it was refused. I guess I could try again somewhere.

What kind of copper are you looking for? https:// www. etsy.com /market/copper_art_supplies

You can buy copper on line in bars, sheets, solid wire. anyway you could need it. :)

Took dad for his mri today. I got him checked him then ran errands. Filled up my truck with gas. Know now that playing music last saturday cost me $180 for a hotel and gas. And $14 for cap'ndz. I have got to find a way i can go pick on the mtn without spending a small fortune.

Oh, stopped and got critter feed, 100lbs of dog food, another 100 of chicken feed was $97. Robbery!! should be half that price.

That's it! Her eye doctor gave her his home phone number and told her to call him anytime day or night if it gets worse. He also called a retina specialist for her to see if it gets worse. He's about 3-4 hours south of here.
