I'd mention to your friend what you need, and let him figure out how to get it for you. You put yourself out to him all the time, with your money, and your time, and friendship. It's not "payback", it's letting him be a friend to you.
When husband and I both had covid delta 3 yrs ago, we were craving ice cream of all things. It was probably on the 7th day. We are preppers, so we had everything else we could need, and I probably could of made it homemade, but didn't have the energy. We ordered on line for pickup at our Kroger store in the bigger town, and drove the pickup truck there. Had them put it in the back of the truck, then drove home. It was December, so it stayed cold, and we had ice cream. I remember it was the first time leaving the house in a week.

I asked my friend and he said he'd get the milk for us. He'll wear gloves. I'll fork over the card, he'll grab the milk, give the card back, and put the milk in the cooler in the back of the truck.

My main concern is not giving him Covid.
Just stay 6' away from him when you do the card swap.
If he gets within 3' of your exhale, he will get it.
...Also, while you are "armed and dangerous ", think of anybody you really hate; go and give them a big hug, and apologize face to face about how wrong you have been about them.:D

Steven Clark, a former prosecutor, said the speed at which the sheriff’s office announced no charges were being brought, suggests the children were being properly supervised and in no inherent danger.

I guess getting stabbed to death is considered "no inherent danger"? I'll bet that in California, if they had been shot to death, that would have been considered "grave inherent danger".

Wear a paint respirator.
It does not filter the air that is exhaled.
If her friend wore it, he would be safe.

My friend doesn't have enough money to buy the milk. That's the reason for passing the card. He'll be masked. I'll be masked. I'll hold my breath and only crack the window enough to pass the card through. He works at the same place my brother works so he's probably been exposed, but I don't want to give more exposure.

He works at the same place my brother works so he's been exposed to a lot of the same stuff. He actually had to go in and disinfect the workspace when he found out my brother was sick.

I'm relieved he didn't get Covid from me from when I hung out with him before I took the home test. Thought it was just a cold or flu so I wore double masks the whole time.

My back doesn't like me today-- more of the muscle spasms so I just took naprosyn. Need to check on Mom. She's been nauseous and hasn't eaten anything since around midnight Saturday morning. Couldn't keep stuff down though.

Mine has .05 microns of protection. everyone is safe. :)

My friend got the groceries for me. Tested negative for Covid on most recent home test but am still having runny/stuffy nose, sneezing, and generally feeling cruddy. Think I picked up a cold on top of Covid or something. One of the bad things about the sneezing & coughing is that ever since I was in a wreck in 2016 I don't have good bladder control. And the really frustrating thing is that I will do my best to drain my bladder fully while in the bathroom, think I'm done, but still not be done. Bc another issue is I can't get it all to come out when I want it to, but it will come out when I don't want it to (and I have tried the kegel exercises to no avail). Anyway, I will think my bladder is empty and then cough or sneeze to learn that my bladder was not empty. And my mother doesn't seem to realize how quickly I have to get to the bathroom when I feel the urge to pee and she will keep talking to me and get mad if I run off before she's done saying something but if I don't go then, I won't make it to the bathroom in time. With all of the coughing and how much I've been having to drink, my bladder has really been hating me. Sorry if that is TMI, but its so frustrating.

Still can't sleep lying down fully either. Having a hard time getting comfortable and still feel exhausted.

She's back!!!:woo hoo:

https://www.cnn.com/travel/article/three-year-cruise-canceled/index.html
Some of the passengers who booked the 111 cabins sold are still in Istanbul, having made their way there ahead of the original departure date. Others say they have nowhere to return to, having sold or rented out their homes in anticipation of the round-the-world voyage, as well as jettisoning their possessions.

It boggles my mind that people would sell their homes, jettison their possessions, fly to Turkey, and give their money to a company in hopes of floating around in a boat for three years. And the company hadn't even bought the boat yet. Now they're homeless, since the voyage was - surprise, surprise - canceled! Because there's no boat to float around on.

You want to feel sorry for these people. But it's hard to. I'm left wondering how they could have survived life on this planet for so long. You'd think the first exiled prince from Botswana who emailed trying to give them money would have already wiped out their finances.

Feeling a lot better but the post-nasal drip is still going, I keep sneezing, & my eyes itch. Pretty sure its allergies at this point. Really need to do some dusting, vacuuming, change hvac filters, etc. Still have a weird taste in my mouth so stuff doesn't taste right.

And now my landline handset won't ring. So, a couple of years ago one of the cats stomped on it when it fell over (they knock it down onto the bed all the time and sit on it or stomp on it) and they turned the ringer off. I went through all of the menu options trying to turn the ringer back on and it never worked. Was off for over a year. So then one day the cats stomped on it and it started ringing again. Well, last night my oldest cat stomped it and when I pulled it out from under his feet the ringer was turned off again. I went through all of the menu options and could not find the option to turn it back on again. I guess I need to lay it down and let them step on it again... LOL.

Upside is the phone won't be waking me up and annoying the hell out of me until it is fixed. Boo is telling me its canned-food-o'clock so I need to get up and feed him. Need to sweep the hallway and change the hvac filters while I'm at it.

I also need to clean the toilet in Mom's bathroom again. I went in there to grab some tp to take to my bathroom and that toilet is absolutely disgusting. If mine starts to get a little dirty I clean it, but Mom can't bend well without falling over and my brother has never cleaned a toilet in his life.

Started doing some major cleaning and my favorite broom broke. :-( Had this thing for years and it was great. Can't seem to find the other brooms we had so will have to go back to the store to get a new one. Sucks. :-(

I was in the middle of major cleanup too. Worked up a sweat. Found some roach nests under the kitchen table and was cleaning it out. We don't use the kitchen table so it had a bunch of stuff piled under it. Old pillows and some other junk. I guess this was the world's way of telling me to take a break for a few minutes. LOL.
The trash was stuff I pulled from under chairs, under the table, and from stuff that overflowed from kitchen trash when we were all sick and I couldn't keep up-- even though trash is my brother's chore.

Oh goody, My turn to whine about my crappy life! this day can kiss my fat butt!

It started over the holiday with a broken tooth, in three days it infested one that already had a cavity in it. So no sleep. I get up and go to visit the dentist, the damned door latch on my car breaks. I finally get a ride to the place, I get in there, I sit down, and have the worst panic attack I've had in literally years! Anyway, my heart rate won't stay low, so he won't touch me, so he shunts me off to an oral surgeon, but nobody can get in touch with him and when I FINALLY DO, he won't take my insurance or my useless medicare so I have to screw around another day in agony trying to find a doctor who'll see me! and guess who's out of weed?

I could fix that. you need to trim off the rusted part, fill it and the head with gorilla glue, trim a stick that fits and slip a PVC pipe collar over it.

Magus, I haven't thrown the broom out yet so I might just try that. Some sch80 pvc maybe. It broke off flush with where it goes in to the broom head. Wonder if I can get a comfort handle thing that will screw in to the broom head if I can get the broken piece out...
I didn't even think about fixing it bc I was so exhausted. Sorry to hear you had such a lousy day. Tooth pain is the absolute worst! My best friend needs to see the dentist asap bc two of his teeth are really hurting right now.

My legs are still really bugging me and I can't do any cleaning. A bin full of stuff got knocked over and spilled all over the floor. I had to use a large dustpan/scoop to pick stuff up bc I can't bend or squat down to pick things up. My box of screws spilled all over. Still need to pick those up. Hoping they are magnetic but will find out. Need to find my magnet stick. Right now I'm exhausted.

Brother got back to being really sick again and Mom isn't feeling well either. Its harder to get food for her when she's sick. I hope she didn't relapse with Covid.

Boy I'm on a rant roll today.
Frying up liver and bacon for husband and the company. The livers are from the 6 chickens I did yesterday. Stinking up the kitchen. I hate liver. Ugh.
Also making meatloaf, which I'll eat.
North wind here, is that where that WONDERFUL liver smell is coming from?!😃

Slight correction to your post:rolleyes:.
I totally agree.
If I never smell it again in this lifetime, that would be great!

On Thanksgiving someone was supposed to save ALL the giblets from the turkey so I could make my delicious “stuffing” mix. They didn’t, meant less flavor and less meat in the mix. Either I or one son in particular was supposed to make the gravy. Instead someone else took over. Worst gravy in the world. Lol Seriously, it was awful. They added weird stuff to the mashed potatoes, different in-law. And the ham was put in the oven and the turkey in the smoker. ?
I’m going to have thanks-for-giving again very soon, at my place, with flavors that are classic traditions. That’s my rant.

I really do like lonely holidays! Maybe I'll regret that someday! I miss my brother dearly, but he had too many ignorant wives and girlfriends over the years! None of them could cook!! I don't like people in my kitchen!!

I'm sorry your brother is gone, @Pearl :huggs:
Well, these people are all just kids themselves, the under 30 gang. We were in someone else's kitchen. They would come to my house on other Thanksgivings and say I was the one who knew how to cook the right foods for the day, the "real" food. One time they complained about a casserole with glass in the food at other homes.
On Christmas I reckon I'll fix real lasagna. I get sick, really sick, when I eat meals or foods others have made.

Rant, I am a slob, I always loose the TV remote or my glasses.

I have been thinking of my grandfather and he had a thing next to his chair, it was sort of a magazine stand with a narrow table at the top (about 9"X 16") with a cup-holder hole at the front and a sort of pocket at both ends (below the table) big enough to hold the remotes, or reading glasses. Each side had a compartment about 4" deep from the center line, each side had one about 14"X11"X4 that held magazines and books. The whole thing was about 2' tall, 16" long, and about 9" wide.

I can visualize it, but trying to find something like that just seems impossible, very frustrating...
No idea about you, but being unable to stay neat and organized is symptomatic of ADD and ADHD. We have that going on in my daughter's and my life. She is medicated. I am not!
