For most of us survivalists, that would necessarily constitute a severe breach of OPSEC.

A better approach may be to go camping with them - and preferably the type of camping that pushes people outside their comfort zone. That provides the opportunity to assess response to stress and how committed they remain to teamwork when they are uncomfortable, tired, ****ed off.

........but for many, it is better to accepted going it alone and work out how to maintain security and productivity while short-handed.

That is not easy, but it is lower risk (and is born of a more realistic assessment of what almost all people are really like).

Funny thing is, although we don't live in the part of Georgia where the movie was set, we do live less than 3 air miles from Georgia's Okefenokee Swamp. Today known as the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge.

My BOL is far from the world's greatest site. But her strength is her people. On could say that they would turn on each other when the S hits the F. I honestly don't think so. Most of the people in a 6 mile radius have lifelong roots there. They've all helped each other, watched each other's kids, attended funerals to support the bereaved, and celebrated the good times together. For most there's a sort of a code of ethics, you don't sh*t where you eat, and you follow the golden rule. And my BOL area is literally the most productive land on earth. The people aren't going to starve. I am comfortable with it and if I am wrong then so be it. I would rather die on the soil that I love, surrounded by the ones that I love, than hide on a mountainside by myself...

This is a forum.....not a survival group. Wether you are, or are not group material or wether a group is even desirable....has no bearing on you being in the forum or not.

Hand in hand with the BOL, is the less commonly referred to BIL, Bug In Location.

Which....well, a certain school of thought I subscribe to, is the preferred solution.

But, BOL is can be an adjective or a noun. I don't 'have' a BOL either. I already live in what most people would call a BOL.

However, I do have places that I have designated as BOL options, if my BIL fails.

Pearl I have no idea why you would think someone thought you were not group material . I haven't been on this forum long but quickly realized you were one of the best assets to this forum . I certainly am glad you decided to stay .
