I've been watching Forged in Fire in my hotel room. An ad came on TV for a medicine to take care of some kind of problem men can get with their private parts where apparently things get bent or crooked. The ad said this medicine works in conjunction with "penile stretching" to fix the problem.

OMG is penile stretching really a thing? Does it really exist? I don't even want to know how that gets accomplished. Holy cow. I now have PTSD from watching a TV ad...
There was a mini marathon of Forge In Fire that I recorded on DVR. I have been watching one episode per day.
Yikes. Penile stretching does not sound fun. I know there are some tribes in Africa where they stretch them out and roll them around a stick or something.
I still remember the time I was looking for stopper beads (for keeping beads from sliding off of stuff) on Wish and somehow the search came up with urethral spreaders. I don't want to know why. I didn't want o know that was a thing. yick.

Earlier today while I was out working the wife collapsed on the floor. She got violently ill. I managed to get her to bed and she slept all day. She's feeling better now.
I hope she's OK. That does not sound good at all. Could be a major infection or something. Could be the flu as well.

I'm still feeling bleh. Had arrhythmia earlier. Got a tickling/irritation in my trachea- probably from postnasal drip. I got the hallway swept, counters wiped down, and have laundry in the dryer. Got a sinus headache and still some nausea.

I talked to a friend who works at Walmart earlier and he said if I ordered stuff online for curbside pickup, he would make sure it got brought out to me. But he said that the store might have to shut down due to so many people having Covid. He said the people who exposed me to Covid have been going back in there every day more than once per day even though they know they are contagious. Their sister tested positive for Covid and is feeling really sick now. Her baby is also sick. If I continue to feel sick I'll go get tested and see if there's anything the doctor can prescribe to lessen symptoms or speed things along.

Any idea why, what happened??
She has no idea. She's had high blood pressure recently but the last few days her BP has been fine. Her doctor has been worried about her having a heart attack or stroke. She's always been very healthy. I think she has a doctors appointment in a couple of weeks. She's fine now.

Keep us posted, the Subaru rescue!!

Hopefully it will be anti-climatic, if my guess about the weather is right, enough ice will melt off for a few rocks to stick through and I will simply drive up the road.

I could have stuck chains on but they are a PITA on the subaru and I haven't been sleeping well lately and I decided I just wasn't in the mood to crawl around in an inch of ice cold water ontop of ice....when all I had to do was walk for ten minutes and be home anyway.

I hope it is easy to retrieve your vehicle, @Aerindel !

Yesterday, I went to Kroger for one sale item- 5 dozen eggs for $6.99 (they were out) so I left with nothing.
Dollar tree for two items -frozen riced cauliflower and frozen salmon- they were out so left with nothing.
Got everything at Walmart which I was trying to avoid. Got gas, came home.
Went for haircut at 1 and Church at 5:30.

Today, will walk first, then walk dogs.
Really don't have anything on list today, but I'm sure something will come up.
Church at 5:30.

Today I am laying low.... Took the wife to the beauty shop last night and ended up in the dog house with the wife... I was not understanding as I could have been when the wife was having problems with getting comfortable.... So I am trying to avoid digging myself further into the hole...

Waiting for husband to finish the exercise bike so we can go to breakfast at the amish place. Animals round one are done, kitchen cleaned up and mopped, little granddaughter driven to school earlier. Looks like I'll have another passenger to take to school just 2 days a week, starting next month. The amish kindergarten class starts two days a week next month down the road from Granddaughter's schoool, so I'll be bringing a neighbor girl we know. The amish bus (tractor and horse trailer) doesn't come out this far from the main road, and it would add five miles to the trip, which on tractor time, is alot. Weather is good today, taking a long walk later.

Walking home....the road is polished ice with a half inch of running water on it...couldn't make it up one section and had to push my subaru off the road...by pushing on it sideways. Felt like it was on casters.
This happens where I'm at when snow doesn't get shoveled, but packed down by foot traffic, at dog parks. Then when it starts to melt, you almost need ice skates.

Good thing you were able to push your car off the road and not fall down in the water and ice.

My daughter tested positive for Covid last night with one of the home tests.
I’m off to the market to get some fresh stuff hopefully. Haven’t been since before Thanksgiving so this should be interesting.
I was supposed to get my booster today but I think I will wait now as I’ve been exposed to her. Going to run and work out later, and then probably work on my Neuro-critical care certificate. 😜

@Haertig, thought this may give you a better idea. This one is 14" wide x 21" deep 16"tall. They come in other sizes.

That does look pretty slick. I have seen some in the past there weren't on rollers and they seemed more a hassle than a help. Hanging and catching and being hard to pull out. My mom had some of those. I guess I'll have to investigate these higher end ones like you have. Thanks.

You offered your opinion or a solution? Don’t you know better!

You know that thing in our brains that tells us we shouldn’t say or do something? Mine is broken! 😁

I had a VW bug out of HS and of course grew up in snow country. I got so good at chaining up with 4" of clearance space - or so it seemed. Chains are not fun to put on any rig let alone short ones.

I heard something some time back: when someone starts complaining, clarify right out the gate. Am I listening or problem solving? Heard it another way too: Do you want comfort or solutions? I think this is brilliant. For Hubby often I am to listen only.

Excellent! I’ll try that on my oldest sister.

Just pluggin' along. K and I are doing the first phase of the AIP diet. I am hating life right now. I am perimenopausal and my cycle has been debilitating from this body reset. I hope the next is better. But other than that I feel fine.

Just making sure we have stocked pantries, full gas cans, dry firewood and warm clothes. It hasn't been as cold as previous winters but it is stressful when it isn't cold enough to justify starting a fire but the utility prices have doubled and you don't want to turn on the heat to take the chill off. Thank God my mom is a quilter and we have tons of quilts and blankets in the house.

Also trying to buy next years curriculum for both girls. I am buying used books when I can to save money but some of these jerks online think they can ask for prices higher than buying the books new. Um, why should I pay that when I can buy brand new books from Christian books?!

Getting ready to breed the does. I will be weighting everyone tomorrow then checking my buck for signs he is ready to do his job. The mini rex buck is ready as he proved himself again by trying to hump me again. I figured it out when he was pulling on me after I did a body check on our youngest buck (too young to breed) and had his scent on me. I really need to re-home the mini or get him neutered!

Feeling a little better this morning (ok, afternoon now). Found out Walmart couldn't completely fill my order and wants to do substitutions with products that aren't right. So when they bring my stuff out I will have to get out of m vehicle to speak to the employee bringing my stuff and tell her I don't want the substituted item.

but, my desk just sort of broke. The top is attached with dowels and it slipped off the dowels and tipped up under the weight of one of the cats on the extender tray. I've tried in vain to push it back on to the dowels but it won't stay. I need to figure out how to get it to stay.

Set mouse traps to catch the critter that defiled a cache of chocolate bars The Princess had in her office. Check

Cleared out all of the cleaning supplies from under the kitchen sink so that I tighten the nut that holds the faucet in place.

That view of the back bottom of the sink is never a joy to see. I hope I got the nut tight enough but I said that the last time.

Now settling in for some reading before I fetch the Jeep from the mechanic.

Tomorrow I may be back at the remodel house.

Just ordered my first pair of glasses from Zenni optical. I went cheap since I don't know if I measured everything correctly. Anybody use them?
We've been using them for me and three of my kids for the longest time. We've had great luck with them! It's super convenient to be able to order a pair of glasses delivered for under $25... Especially when the recipient will be a kid/teen who can't remember where they had them last a couple of times a year

I got my curbside pickup order. Clerk was extremely nice. She said "Anything else I can get for you, my love?" I know some people don't like it when employees talk that way, but I thought it was sweet. I got 3 boxes of dark chocolate covered almonds. I drank an entire liter of water with a pack of EmergenC (zinc and vitamin C) to see if it helps with my respiratory symptoms any. It wasn't the right ratio, but the stuff tasted like orange zest so I preferred to have it watered down. Felt really tired afterward but feeling a tad bit better now. Sun is shining in on me, kitties are curled up with me-- except for the one that is humping my leg. LOL.

Cousins brought the steaks and a very large briskett, so I played some more tetris with the freezers. One pack of tbones didn't fit, so oh, shucks. TBones for dinner tomorrow night. Going to visit my favorite cousin tomorrow and do my best to cheer up her daughter. Their oldest is moving out tonight, going to Ohio permanently. He's been dating a young lady there, and they'll be announcing their marriage intentions probably later in the year, after they take the classes and join the church. He'll be staying with his aunt that lives there until he is married, and he already has a job lined up. He sold all of his cows yesterday at the livestock sale. So there were some very sad eyes today with him leaving, he's the oldest of five. I'm sure his mama will be seeing him once a month, but she's pretty sad. Typically the boys move to the girl's community, and the girl stays put. Not always, but typically. And her first 3 are boys, so she's got some more sadness coming.

Mom woke up from her nap and wanted food. I'd surprised her by ordering brown rice & quinoa from Samsclub online. They hadn't had it in stock at the local store in months. She likes it with chicken broth. I threw in some shredded chicken as well.

Currently trying to get my brain to relax.

Had a brief argument with my brother. Normally I let him babble at me even when he's in lecture mode about something I already know. But this time his tone was so condescending AND he didn't know what he was talking about. He was getting it wrong. (It was about Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs). I told him I knew what it was. He told me I was wrong about what it was called and then started berating me like I'm a child. I said "Dude, I'm the one with a college degree" but I didn't add in that he flunked college 3x. He kept trying to lecture me about it as if I didn't know what it was and I kept telling him, "You don't need to explain it to me, I already know- I studied it in three different college classes" but of course he had to argue that he had superior knowledge. Then he started arguing with me about how I was interrupting him. I pointed out that I very rarely interrupt him on stuff but he does it to me all the time. He doesn't like it when the tables are turned. He ended up calling me names and retreating to his room. LOL.

BTW,. I installed this for the wife yesterday ,took 10 minutes. She (and I ) love it.
For your info ....this thing is very well built , very strong, smooth ball bearing action, nice looking, and very functional.

Jim

I have one very similar and love it! Currently it is used to have the microwave on top then a fan on top of the micro to blow the hot air from the wood stove out of the kitchen hahaha, it pull it right into the door opening when I am done in the kitchen

We are supposed to get over 10 inches of snow Sunday, 50 mph wind and wind chill way below zero. It is not supposed to warm up in the least until Wednesday.

We are prepared , got more propane and more grain for the animals yesterday. Problem is going to be son going to college. He won't even be able to get off our mountain if we are snowed in, but the roads near the university will probably be cleared by then and school open. We are debating on if he should leave his car at the bottom of the mountain somewhere and take the battery out, or hope by then one of our neighbors will move the snow off the road. Nobody really has a plow but some have Bobcats that can do it if needed. Worst case he will have to use our main 4wd truck and put the chains on it , but that would be bad for us since we need it to move water buckets from house to barn ( too far to carry them) when the barn water is frozen.
This sort of weather causes us lots of problems. For most people it is power outages that cause problems but we don't really need it in winter. Worst case we push the freezers and fridge outside and unplug them...but we have a generator also plus solar.
I am DONE with winter lol!

Oh and I am pretty sure we had covid. All of us had a very mild cold ( "normal" colds are usually much worse) but now husband has a weird rash that doesn't itch, so not barn mites or fleas from the animals, plus it doesn't look like bites. I have never seen anything like it before, but he feels fine. I hope we are not contagious anymore since we went shopping yesterday...
But of course it could be something else, since none of us got tested
