Forgot to mention that my roast turkey is in the oven and on its way to becoming late brunch or early dinner, lol. I reckon the thought of that dirty diaper & Obama threw me for a moment, lol. Got stuffing in the bird, and two separate dishes of extra stuffing, one traditional with minced giblets, celery & onion, the other an experimental dish with diced pineapple bits mixed into it. I also tossed all three cans of green beans & 'Cream of Mushroom' soup into a Pyrex casserole dish, and now my whole house is starting to smell really good! Unlike the fraudulent election! Lol. And NO, I won't waste a single moment watching 'lamestream media coverage' of the election, it's all a waste of time. Those fraudulent scumbags will tweak the numbers again, no doubt... it's in their best interests, lol. Not YOUR best interests, but THEIRS, aye? Only when irate citizens start voting with bullets & hangropes will the outcome ever change... end of story.

My day has been total crap. hopefully by the time the election gets stolen, I'll be too drunk to have my head explode.
It's one of those days!! I came home early because I thought it could be a "could end up in jail" kind of day! Hoping a nap and some beer will help things improve!!🤔

Hey, Pearl! I took a picture of the kittens to cheer ya up! Z-Girl & Black Diamond wrasslin' while Zorlac snoozes! Hope ya feel better! While you're nappin', I'll drink a cold beer for ya! Cheers!!! 🍺

I wish I didn't feel so tired all the time. Had the day off (I work for the government, and we get election days off, I s'pose they expect us to be grateful and vote the "correct" way?), went to town for my grocery pick up, washed the truck, spent too much at the hardware store and the farm store, and stopped by the township hall to vote. By the time I got home and unloaded the truck, all I wanted to do was curl up in my chair and sleep. So I did. But of course that means I didn't get any of the outside chores done and now the sun has gone behind a high, thin overcast and the temp has dropped. I should have gone straight out there and done some work instead of falling asleep when I got home.

Like Wingnut, I'm completely ignoring all of the breathless nattering of the tv talking heads. Whatever happened in the election, tomorrow will be time enough to deal with it. We badly need to fire Michigan's governor and her "girlfriends" but I'm not all that hopeful.

At least I get my motorcycle back from the mechanic tomorrow!

Good nap, then got my schedule straightened out for the rest of the month. Holiday time is always really busy for me. Got a carpet cleaning job and a rent house to clean besides my regulars and extra holiday jobs. So the extra money I know is coming made me cheerier!! Just took beer out of the freezer so I am fixin' (Texas word) to get even cheerier!! And pictures of those kitties always brighten my day!! 😺

Well, did get animal chores done early, got the neighbor girl and little granddaughter off to school. Her mom came out with a loaf of fresh wheat bread and a dz chocolate chip cookies, and a dz peanut butter cookies. So sweet of her. Took mom to the dentist, of course, and worked on the junior turkey run this afternoon. It's long, one wall of it is actually the old wood barn. Took off the wind shredded tarps, and took some wrangling to get the new tarp on, wired it down, filled the run back end with fresh straw.
Wow, Urban. Liberal children are so much fun when they visit, aren't they? Pharmacist daughter really laid into me her last visit. Conservatives are evidentally dumb idiots, and she hates all of Kansas anyway. Not sure where all that came from, but it did. Also had to look at her book cover that I know was left around for me to see, about persecuted gays. Sometimes I feel like she's debating me on issues when I'm not even talking. Can't win those arguments, even if you don't even know you're having them.

My devil dog and others in the service told me about how "the beloved of Allah" treat gays when they're caught out.
They're thrown off the highest roof top they can find that isn't a mosque and they make sure it's caught in living breathing HD footage.

I have a similar view when it comes to child rapists.

I finally culled the last 3 free loading duck-ups and put them in the chest freezer whole (undressed -feathers, guts and all).
These are going into pumpkin pits like David the Good makes.
I found seeds for a rare Australian heritage pumpkin called Iron Bark.
Lighter coloured pumpkins and squash attract fruit fly here and they get stung and rot at the sting site.
Darker hard skin pumpkins don't attract as much attention.
Iron Barks are good storage pumpkins.

Just pulled my leaky boat out of the lake. Caught a pile of fur today. Supposed to snow tomorrow and be in the single didgets by Thursday. At best I have 2 more days of open water before this lake freezes over.
I guess I'll stop whining about the possibility of winterizing my pool! 😯

Oh, man, am I ever full... too full to drink beer, that's for sure, so I'm gonna go easy tonight and read another Western. Manana, I go riding with a better forecast than Monday's weather! Huge turkey sandwich for my picnic lunch on the trail somewhere! Should be awesome! Looking forward to it! But for now, I gotta get horizontal and let that meal digest, lol.

Power washed the decks on the rental property.

Should stain them tomorrow.

Then off to visit the granddaughter to do more algebra. She has grasped the concepts to simplify basic equations and needs more practice to avoid some of the actual execution errors.

Her mother reported the math teacher wasn't much help as far as offering tutoring or reference info to help out. I asked to be forwarded the teacher's e-mail so I can try since can talk math and that may make a difference.

On the way home I noticed a sign up on the empty lot behind my garage that I always thought make an excellent location for a proper work shop. But getting a permit to put in a shop is probably not going to fly since it is zoned residencial and requires a house to do anything. Maybe I could build a one bedroom place with a 4 car garage?

A man is allowed to dream.

So now sitting back and waiting for The Princess to return from working the poles and waiting to learn the results.

Voted.

Got vaccinated for Shingles.

Two big limbs came down last week. Too big for me two drag into the woods and I didn‘t feel using the chain saw. Used the wench on the mule to pull them into the woods.

Put the snowplow on the mule.

Long over due cleaning and organizing the shop. Now I’ve got room to work on the riding lawnmower.

Floor jack the mower up and placed ramps under the rear tires. Goal for tomorrow is to see if the drive belt for the hydrostatic pump/drive jumped a pulley or broke.

You go Mr. Math!!♥️

Busy day today...went and voted first, my sticker was red, white, and blue. Into the bigger town for some Walmart shopping and Tractor Supply. They finally restocked their game bird feed. Walmart did roll back their prices on canned green beans, canned corn, and cream of mushroom soup. So I got a case of each. Other Thanksgiving staples were high like stuffing cubes, potatoes, that sort of stuff. Didn't check turkey prices. We have enough in the freezer and enough still alive. Went through and winterized our main turkey run today, the one with the big guys in it. Redid the winter tarping, and did some ceiling wire repairs. Was followed by the barn cat Fluffy, which the turkeys hate. Then along came five guineas to see what I was doing, and the turkeys were not happy at all. Especially when they flew to the ceiling I was repairing to watch me from below it. Nosey animals. I feel like I have an entourage following me around when I do chores.

I was going to mention - might have long time ago: I finally quit buying the plastic (blue) tarps. I was so tired of them shredding after so little use. I bought the canvas ones which do cost quite a bit more, but we still have them and they are still in great working condition. One that has been at the shop (work- metal) has about a 4" tear in it. I will stitch it up when I think about it & it should keep going. Also, at least the ones I got are a dark green so a lot easier on the eyes.
We went over near Seattle yesterday. The foliage is stunning this side of Rainier. Snow over the top, but the roads were good. Got there and the fella said something about getting it unbolted. We looked at him and asked what he was talking about. It's a 110 ton iron-worker that weighs over 7200 lbs. and was bolted to the floor. Luckily, we were in the service truck so had a thincut with us. Got it loaded and headed home. There were so many nefarious folks just wandering around the streets. I felt better once we got back over the pass to this side of the mountains. Don't have the beast in position yet, but they got it off loaded so I can take the trailer tomorrow to pick up a load of finished product.
@backlash We would have tried to meet up with you somewhere along the way, but we had a 12 hr. day as it was.
I'm about ready for bed so if I'm speaking jibberish, please forgive. PS - and yeah, there was a time change in all that.

Well, I survived that turkey dinner plate, lol... thing had me on my back for awhile, but I 'manned up' once the food settled, and now I'm up & around to make a big ol' sandwich for tomorrow's ride. I might water the trees & plants before I go, you see, so making the sandwich tonight will save time manana! Big ol turkey & Swiss sammie on fresh Italian bread with mayo, cranberry sauce & some stuffing crammed in there, lol. Thing will probably weigh several pounds before I'm done... I'll have to drag it to the truck stop to get a correct reading on the scale! ;)

Ya know, the tryptophan in that turkey made me feel good earlier (once it turned into serotonin), and I'll probably have some wild Technicolor dreams tonight... tryptophan will do that to ya, lol. I used to take several of those TwinLab amino acid capsules: tryptophan for serotonin release & wild dreams, ornithine for growth hormone release, and phenylalanine for brain functions & clarity. I'd take the capsules separately, not all together, mind you, and each was taken for a specific purpose. I'd "turn friends on" to tryptophan just to see if they had wild dreams, which they usually did, lol. o_O

Gonna call it an early night after I make the sammie, I'm still too full to drink beer, lol. At least I'm out of the torpor I was in for a couple of hours... that was a burly dinner plate loaded with calories, I probably gained a few pounds but I'll work 'em off tomorrow, or lose 'em when I drop the kids at the pool, lol. TMI? I think not, it takes mental toughness & true grit to be a "homesteader!" BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Somebody once said that to me about trucking, but moi, I just used to "wing it" and I dealt with problems or obstacles as they arose. No amount of planning could prepare one for some incidents!

Got up about 4 am, usual time, and stoked the fire. Need to go up and get a fire in the fur shed going. Got a bunch of critters to skin today. It's still snowing. My daughter is coming down tomorrow so I need to weld up the broken plow today and plow the road tomorrow before she gets here. Some time in the next few days I need to get the studded tires on the Jeeps. I know, should have swapped tires weeks ago.

Technically a day off. Going to price a job, then going to the dreaded Walmart. Yes, I'll say hi to all the Karens for you all!! Going to give the pool a good vacuuming and start draining it to it's winter level below the skimmer and inlet jet. Drain the pump. Will bring more firewood in the house before Thursday night's cold front. That gives the house cats time to thoroughly inspect it spiders😮🕷️🦂and scorpions. I'll be enjoying one if the last 80° days for a while!!
