@ABR please explain design plans for tractor for meat birds in the fall. Hope your horse(s) are doing okay. You've got a lot on your plate and it is very normal to feel distracted and unable to focus with what you're going through.
@MoBookworm1957 What is up with people taking kids they're not supposed to have in their custody? Sorry.
Sounds like little miss Estelle is getting a workout. She must be proud of her granny. :)
@Neb I wanted to say that you really should just stick with driving the tractor in forward. Bad joke. Hope it is working better for you.
Worked. Got on the boss's bad side yesterday and some of it was retroactive. Yay. Go me. Today was better.

@Patchouli I have a regular coop with a run for my layers. I need a separate space for the meat birds. I have an old hay ring that is missing the top rail so it is 2ish feet tall. I'm thinking about wrapping it in hardware cloth/wire mesh and putting a roof/cover on it. It should be pretty easy to move every 5-7 days to give them fresh area. If I put them in the horse pasture next to the houses the dogs should alert me to any predators. I'll probably add a bar across the top to hang the waterer and feeder from as well.

That is what I have been doing!

Requires a lot of planning when one lives on the side of a hill. ;) That is what I want to fix.

Turns out all of the cooling vanes were clogged with grass clippings and it was low on fluid. The filler cap had a crack. Used the cap from a spare transaxle to fix that.

Pearl, and Lady locust.,Patch, Amish Heart,
Pearl, my sister is coming up from Huntsville Texas this week to visit.
I immediately thought of you, Patch, Lady Locust , Amish Heart and I getting together for coffee.
And in my neck of woods it would be in your best interest to wear clothing of some sort.
Just saying.

You are talking to LadyLocust, she doesn't own a swimsuit!😉🤔 😃😃😃

Coffee sounds like fun, Mo. Around here, the hen parties are called coffee breaks, and they start at 9 and go till 11. They are a blast. And hey, you don't have to worry about me not wearing clothes. Ha. Maybe Pearl. Ha.
Swim lessons for little granddaughter, and I had the doc appt and xrays. Husband was flipping out that he thought I had a compression fracture, but, thank God. Nope. Pulled some muscles. Still gimping about on my right side, and have to go to PT for a while, and making do with Aleve. Did some bin shopping and found pkgs of o2 absorbers (50 each) for 99 cents, so bought the 10 pkgs I found in the bins. Little granddaughter finished the sewing backpack project and it turned out really cute. Grabbed barbeque take out when I picked up granddaughter from sewing class, so easy dinner. In between... three loads of laundry done and hung, cooked beets and put them in the freeze dryer.

Well of course! It's for all us ladies! And Weedy, Snappy, Patch, Angie, Hootch, and ALL the ladies. No guys allowed.
Well of course,
I even go as far as renting the local Veterans building.
So we can all get together.
Please wear clothing, don't want to shock those old Veterans men.
What a "Hen Party" that would be.

Just want to say hello real fast...still alive. Our internet was broken. Husband cut a cable with the weed eater ( if we had all the money we have spent over the years on stuff he broke by being careless, we would be rich now....hmmmmm) which shorted out the main thing at the house . Took 3 trips of the internet people to fix it.. First one just looked at it, second one replaced the cable, third one fixed it finally yesterday

We got our truck back finally and $3000 later, but the rust on the frame remains of course and we have no idea if it will pass inspection in August
Big news: we bought a used Chevy Traverse for back up vehicle, It's a 2012 and has over 100k miles but runs so far and no or very little rust underneath.
It's barely large enough to use for the market

Took animals to the meat processor yesterday and some going to the auction today. Will probably cry because we are sending our oldest goat I wanted to take her to the meat processor but he like everyone is short people and couldn't add any.

Got my yogurt maker but it wasn't from Japan but China. Tested it with water yesterday and it seems to be working. We'll see

Ok, have to go , more later
