@LadyLocust , we sell mostly pre-owned jeans and good name brand clothing; Ralph Lauren, Ariat, etc. Easy to package and ship. It's kind of time consuming. We like doing it.
I’m just going to put them on CL. All the jewelry was/is in little boxes so tedious to take out and photograph. I’m just doing it all in one lot except two possibly more valuable sets. My mom was just going to give it to a gal who would end up selling it. My folks don’t have a lot of money so I said let me try to sell it first. If it doesn’t sell, she can give it away.

And another good plan goes swirlin' down the $h!tter... today's plan to roll out both primer & topcoat was EXTREMELY optimistic, lol. Especially since I had to knock out another 1-1/2 hours of prep work (stuff I missed on Friday), then deal with tough problem spots that arose like creatures out of Greek Mythology, lol. I mean DAMN, these friggin' problem spots were BRUTAL, and I ain't done with 'em yet, AYE? But I handed 'em a good old-fashioned b!tch-slappin' today, and even though I haven't broken the back of the job yet, it shall be broken in short order... not to be confused with that Brokeback BS, lol, this sorta home rehab work has WAY more CHARACTER, youse fooliots! 🤣

Anyway, I'm gonna go post some pics in my kitchen renovation thread, solely as a means to further inspire me later... I couldn't care less what y'all think about the project, BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! But I STILL care about your opinions in other matters, such as how to deal with chickens & goats, and how to make some kinda SPECIAL friggin' watermelon daiquiri or watermelon margarita, LOL. That ol' fraudulent Biden scumbucket is gonna have to raise the bar and figure out some other way to prevent me from mixing KICK@$$ WATERMELON DAIQUIRIS & MARGARITAS in my blender later this year, lol. Perhaps he should help jack the prices of rum & tequila sky-high, the STOOPID F#%. 😒

Hey, y'all wanna hear something funny? I have this sweet marinated pork loin wrapped in applewood-smoked bacon to go on the grill, but I'm so stiff & sore after all the pesky ladder and counter work today (not to mention ceiling work) that I'm not sure I wanna even tackle the BBQ project, BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I've already added TEQUILA to the tall glass of YE OLDE BUSTHEAD CIDER in an effort to ditch the stiffness and get into PAR-TAY MODE, lol. I wore my sacrificial Vans slip-ons today for 6 or 7 hours, as they work well for ladder work, bridging between ladder & countertop or table, etc. But boy, oh boy, those Vans ain't quite so comfortable after 6 or 7 hours of such work, lol. Maybe I'm just gettin' old... 😕

ALRIGHT, I'M OFF TO POST TODAY'S PICS IN MY KITCHEN RENOVATION THREAD... CHEERS!!! 😎

Wild enough... it would be MO BETTAH with a hot Penthouse Pet to keep me warm, lol. 😳

Maybe not... at my age, those gyrations and whatever-ya-call-em movements are EASY compared to dealing with the friggin' dragon, AYE? Or the equivalent of said dragon... and then there are the WORK COMP CLAIMS, lol. 😬

P.S. ******, if THAT don't keep ya guessing, NOTHING else WILL, lol... 🤪

Since I'm going to be up half the night....

Just got hammered but a surprise thunderstorm, sort of… Nasty, 60+ winds, golf ball sized hail. It was moving too, about 40mph.

Amazing thing, this huge storm split. There was a little space about 5 miles wide. I stood on my porch and watched 2 big lightening storms, one south and one north. The worst went around me.

I got a few pieces of pea sized hail, wind gusts were below 30mph. It rained 1.5 inches in 30 minutes, a mini flood. I started to wonder where I stored the inflatable dingy, got one somewhere.

Good news, that band of storms has passed. Bad news… the big storms don’t get here til after midnight.

Looks like I’ll be up for a while. Gonna lose satellite in a bit like the first two times. Lost power for 2hrs around noon. Lost power this evening too, just long enough to find my lantern in the dark, then came back on. 🤬

Yall might laugh, I have a power recliner that I despise (long story). But I lose power at least once a month, for a few hours, year round. Which means I get stranded in this (choose adj) chair far to often.

I lost power around noon today for a couple hours. Didn’t catch me in the chair! Or ‘Yellow Mama’ as I think of it.

It moves so slow… tonight I heard a rumble of thunder... but before I got out this 🤬 chair, the power went off. So I’m in the dark, there’s a mag light just out of my reach and have to get out of this …… chair again!!!

I badly need a chair with a lever! 🤣

It is supposed to start raining around noon and rain all week. Wow. We are supposed to get inches of rain. That again....

Animals got to New Holland ok and the auction is today.

Got some hay bales delivered yesterday and put under roof before all that rain is coming. They look good ( round bales) but we need many more

Made salt rising bread

Cleaned some but whats the point , the dogs will track in mud with the rain again

I'm off today, so I got up at the regular time, vacuumed the house, fixed my breakfast, did the dishes, watered the garden, picked some tomatoes, and am taking a break to plan out my day...

Yesterday I had a great father's day, after church I worked on my garden projects and in the late afternoon all the kids and Grands called, I got one of those camera door bells from the son. And then for dinner we had potato salad (with celery and potatoes from the garden) layered green salad (greens from the garden), Steak (no, I don't grow them, yet!), and layered chocolate pudding thing... It was wonderful, but I ate like a pig and then spent the rest of the evening lounging like a beached whale.... Wife was exhausted and I decided to watch a movie, "Goodbye World" on Amazon prime, just the concept was a little unnerving and I didn't make it half way through before I gave up and called it a day..

@Amish Heart herein lies the answer about Greek Mythology (as referenced in the thread about Wingnut’s kitchen renovation).

Catching my breath after three busy days of stacking hay. Realized some relief after lamenting myself for the poor quality in this hay. It is so much easier to work hard when you know you're producing quality?

I've established a clientele that comes to expect high quality at discount price and had a lot of fear that I'd really made some poor decisions and circumstances were stacked against me. The sub-par product being the result. Good salesman ship begins by producing a good product?

But something amazing happened yesterday and my top customer came and we negotiated a fair price for all that hay!

Now I've got a lot to do to ensure that a repeat performance is unlikely! Farming can be a lot of fun when things mostly go according to plan. But it can be a personal Hell when a comedy of errors pile on and compound?

Sugar infused lemonade?

Plans changed, today I get the live trap out and set up the cat cage under the gazebo.

Screenshot 2023-06-19 at 8.59.33 AM.png

Colby, the orange and white is too smart to go into the trap, the little kitten is young, dumb and hungry.

If I succeed, Kitten gets fixed and vetted tomorrow at OAR.

Today was an early start for me. I woke up at 5:00 am to feed the animals. It's always a peaceful time of day. Later in the morning, I had to take my daughter to the airport. Her flight was leaving at 10:00 am and I wanted to make sure she had plenty of time to get through security. It was so nice to have her home for a visit and show her around the farm. She seemed to really enjoy seeing all the animals and the beautiful scenery. I'm already looking forward to her next visit!

Nursing a cold beer---hair of the dog that MAULED me last night---and this beer will probably last half an hour, lol. That's okay, it's in a cooler cup or "cozy" and it's cold enough to suit me, AYE? Boy, oh boy, that wicked tequila & busthead cider combo sure does a number on yer brain... I don't even remember eating last night, but I must have had something because there are dirty dishes in the sink, lol. I did NOT grill the bacon-wrapped pork loin last night, that will happen later this evening, lol... I was just too goldurned tired to stand on my feet any longer last night, but the wicked tequila & busthead cider combo "cured" the stiffness and tiredness, 10-4? It's amazing what a good night's rest will do... :)

Easy day today, I'm just gonna do some touch-up work on those trouble spots in the kitchen, then relax and BBQ this afternoon & evening. Manana, I'll probably roll out some topcoat, but today I'm just gonna go easy... I was on my feet for 6 or 7 hours yesterday, including ladder & countertop work, not to mention pulling some contortionist action to get into those appliance nooks, lol. Reminds me of that dumb joke from back in the day... Q: What do you call a Filipino contortionist? A: A Manila folder. Dunno why that stupid joke has stuck with me over the decades, I can't seem to erase it from my memory, no matter how hard I try, lol. Must be a karmic thing... I wish I'd get that debt repaid, yeah? 😒

I've walked every day, including today. Boy, is it getting warm. Usually 80 and very humid before I get started, but I'm stubborn.

Today is easy. Laundry.
Set up printer. Done, thank God. It will do until I get the new battery for my laptop in a week or so. Hope that is the problem!
Misc. business calls.
Clean bathrooms and dust house.
Maybe go out in garden, but that may wait until Wednesday.

We have had a little weather here. Not bad, but power out twice for 2 and 3 hours.
I hope you all have a great day!

I bought my wife a new power recliner so she wouldn't hurt her hip trying to sit back up like she did in her other recliner.
It has 2 9v batteries in the power brick so it still work on the rare occasions we lose power.

I had my meet with the fitness trainer this morning, that went well. She introduced me to 5 machines and set up a small plan to use on each of them, number of reps weight and sets. etc she said as I as I progress she can change it up.

Nice gal.........cute too(Bonus)
You'll stay interested in going 😉

Can you get an uninterupted power supply for the chair? I don't know how expensive they are but they should be less than the cost of another chair.

Just a quick search, not sure what size your chair would require.

Whooowheee! That breakfast burrito hit the spot, I was hungry, lol. I even took some pics, though this was merely a case of combining leftovers and throwing in some other stuff from the fridge, like some sausage... 😒

IMG_9886.JPG

Once the mix was piping hot, I nuked a tortilla with pepper jack and cheddar cheese on it... 😀

IMG_9887.JPG

Dumped a mountain of piping hot burrito mix on top of the cheese... 🙄

That newspaper is a quarter-century old, lol... looks like some stupid flamer got his/her name on it, pfffffft. 😠

IMG_9889.JPG

A little bit of sour cream and habanero sauce for garnish... 😬

Now I'm full, the dishes are done, and I'm ready for a "tactical nap"---that's a nap that actually serves a purpose, not just some excuse for freeloading and wasting time, lol. 😉

Female Arnie - watch out 😁😉

Careful - those are dangerous.

(Not talking about the workout machines, either...)

Is @Supervisor42 & @Frodo around? Who else is down LA direction. We are hearing of your weather way out here.
Thanks Peanut and Snappy and all y'all Texans for checkin in.
