Went to soup and chili dinner today.
Been knitting a scarf for somebodies Christmas gift.
Will be making arrangements for my horses, tack, quilt frame, supplies, personnel effects to be sent home to Missouri.
Not much reason to go back to Tnn. now.
Fellow and I have parted ways for good.
Oh, well we had a good run 5 years.
Been friends and fellow soldiers together off and on for twenty years.
Crap happens.
I see many people who are single and not in relationships as they get older. I think some of us (me) are too independent to be in relationships.

Sorry hope it works out for the best Mobook. Glad you have that beautiful little grand to help you get through it.
I am not so independent when it comes to my hubby. he is my rock.

Sorry about your friend, @MoBookworm1957 . These things happen, to me, at least. And sorry about your kindle @dademoss . I'm glad you have a back up!

I hit a plateau with my weight for about a week now and feel a little discouraged. I know it's natural to happen, but patience has not been my strong suit in the past. A little discouraged at Church, but I think it is more to do with my attitude than anything going on at Church. So I'm cooking chicken and vegetables and going to clean baths and dust, then relax for the rest of the day. Not going to Church tonight.

I hope you all have a relaxing day and a good week ahead!

It was raining when I got up. We had 1&1/4 inch of rain from the nor'easter. Its moved out now but its still breezy and cloudy. Only 51 degrees out.
I made us breakfast sandwiches
Helped hubby replace the heat tape of the outside spigot and we had to put the extension cord to it in some conduit to keep Bandit from chewing it again
Did hubby's work clothes and his one coat that needed washed. Had to use some fels naptha on the collar lol
Baked some cookies ( hubby has some with his coffee on break at work)
Plan on making some fried ham steak for supper
Been watching a program thats supposed to be "spooky" but to me its just kinda interesting and a little hokey lol
Finally went through some catalogs we had stacked on a table and tore our names out of them so we can get rid of them

What a bummer about the newer Kindle. Maybe you'll get a new one for Christmas?

I added it to the Amazon wish list, we will see what Santa brings on Christmas ) :candycane:

Been moving garden soil.
Rethinking my raised beds so I can get better vegetables next year.
No grand daughter today, good thing she's been playing in dirt in oldest raised bed.
That's the one I'm moving dirt , raised beds themselves.
Thinking I might rework design of bed for cucumbers, peas, maybe tomatoes.
That particular bed will be under air conditioner drain spot.
Tomorrow suppose to be warmer than today.
Need to harvest herbs out of herb gardens; ciltrano, rosemary, english thyme, etc.
Didn't walk much today, but so far have moved over 100 pounds of dirt, garden soil.
Still got about 150 pounds of more dirt, soil to move.
Then will take apart cedar raised beds.
Reconfigure the design, screw them back together.
Then fill back up with dirt, soil, compost.
Staying busy today.

Yesterday we went to church in the morning and only went to one session.

Got home and we finished packing up the sewing room so we can store boxes in there. Then went into the dressing room and packed up all of our medical leaving out what we would need between now and when we move. Had a guest come over in the afternoon so didn't get our broad beans blanched.

This morning we have blanched the broad beans and will drain them shorly and package them and continue packing for our move.

Tonight a lady on her way home from church stopped in my driveway. Her car computer told her there was something wrong with her left front tire.

Nothing wrong with her left front but the right rear was flat. I knew her face but couldn't remember her name. I haven't seen her in over 40 years. I think I took her daughter or her daughters cousin to a prom.

Her daughter came and got her. I didn't recognize the daughter...

I couldn't offer to change the tire... for another week I'm not supposed to bend over or do anything strenuous, don't want to pop the stitches in my eye.

I always liked her husband and oldest son. Good people... I think her husband passed 18 or 20 years ago. Probably wouldn't recognize the son either... 40 years is a long time.

At least she got home safely. Someone is supposed to come tomorrow and take the wheel to town to see if the tire can be plugged. I hope she doesn't have to buy a new tire... (fixed income).

Round 2 of today is that DH and I washed up the dishes and cleaned the benches and then packed the broad beans we blanched and froze making 14 double meals of broad beans for the freezer.

This afternoon we almost finished packing all of our food stock pile in the second pantry room moving what we needed between now and our move to the kitchen pantries with just a small amount to finish off tomorrow in that room being to damp dust all the food storage shelves and book case in there and give the room a good vacuum.

Did my monthly pedicure. Gotta take care of your feet people.
Have some laundry to do
Hubby has a doc's appointment this afternoon. Nothing important just a yearly. Mines in Dec.

Oh and the RED SOX WON THE SERIES!!!!:woo hoo:

Each tire has a programed pressure sensor inside of it. When the tires are rotated and/or moved the sensors (if they aren't moved back to the right position) will then report the wrong tire. Mechanic with better knowledge then me could explain.

I will have to ask the dealer, the Subaru is the first car I have had that tells me the pressure in each tire.

I love my 4 -6 weeks pedicure! I’m going to be retiring from the physical aspect of nursing around the first of the year. Since I will be mostly making phone calls, I’ll be able to have manicures as well. Yay!

Just about got the raised bed taken apart.
Just about got put back together in new spot.
Resting right now, still got to remove 2- 4 foot cedar boards from the front of old raised bed.
Got the new (old ) raised bed manuervered into new spot.
Just need to fill back up with dirt, compost and garden soil.
Thinking about making it into cold frame, beings back is higher than front.
Not naming no names but somebody can't count, that would be me.
So far today I have moved close to 150 pounds of dirt, soil, and compost.
Walked little bit under 5000 steps.
Getting tired, but need to push on cause it's suppose to rain tomorrow.
Just got to get another whiskey barrel for lettuces, etc for spring.
Then next week will be ready to redo herb garden bed.
Still need to pick herbs today.
Ran errands for parents today which didn't amount to hill of beans.
Need to fill up car tomorrow.
Old raised bed was 4 foot by 6 foot square.
New raised bed is 2 foot by 4 foot.
Like it much nicer than the old way.
Not so much as a trip hazard.

@WVDragonlady Why are pedicures essential to foot health?
Why do I need one? Just asking.
I barely get my hair cut twice a year and have never had my nails or feet done by a salon.

I don't go to a salon either. I take care of it at home. And pedicures help keep your feet healthy by giving them a deep cleaning, trimming the nails ( keeping them from becoming ingrown and infected), scraping off the dead skin and also at the same time you're giving them a good inspection. Also you need to take care of any calluses and such.
I don't paint them. I would get them massaged but they're too ticklish lol
And taking care of your feet is just part of taking care of yourself. They take a pounding every day.
Have you ever seen someone who has those huge ugly calluses on their heels and they're wearing sandals?! eewwwww!

I also do my own manicures. I don't paint them but I keep them trimmed and filed. I swear the more I cut them the more they grow! lol

I don't have foot problems as far as what you've mentioned. I go barefoot as often as possible (because I don't like footwear) and even though I have nothing like calluses or ingrown toenails and infections and never have, my feet don't need what you're talking about. I guess that's why I have never understood the need. My feet are tough and still look fine.

I don't ever go in either, Patachouli, and get my hair trimmed maybe once a year. My feet are terrible...I'm always barefoot. Even on rocks. I do use foot cream, though.
My family, the ones who wear shoes everywhere all the time...they're sissies. Barefoot, I can run across rocks, run in the snow. Haven't yet mastered hot coals and broken glass. I'm one of those people that keeps their feet out of the blankets at night.
I use foot cream when I'm feeling like pampering myself. I think roughing it helps keep my feet in shape, keeps rough skin from forming. They were mangled up in an accident too but you'd never know it now.
Why am I talking about my feet?

Both would be good, a local and the big guys too. I'm glad to hear a pediatric cardiology group will be available near you.

I'm just hoping they will see her. Docs not sure since she will be 18 in a few months.
