I crawled out of bed fighting to gain consciousness against a relentless alarm clock. Words flowed out of my mouth but this is a family friendly forum, and I am trying to eliminate those words from my vocabulary. The fullness of my bladder argued with the creaking and popping of my knees, winning out and dragging me mercilessly to the washroom. After that the dog needed to do our morning walk of the property perimeter and finally the mercy of a good cup of coffee

I don't feel too god till after a couple cups of coffee.
I get up early and kinda go by what that old 112 year old vet said " when I wake up I get up". Don't need to lay there and have all the world chaos go cruising around in my head.

My goodness thats a lot of people on that stretch of mountain.

That’s a new one for me, never heard of using castor oil on eyes

First time I heard of it was about 50 years ago when actor Paul Newman said he used it to clear his eyes.I think he said it took the yellow out out,not sure. I am using it for cataracts and to help with sinus. Only use it a couple times a month for a few nights or at times days.

I make Pico de Gallo all the time, Peanut. Goes on everything. I use whatever tomatoes I have, and turns out fine (Bite of the Rooster).
Went out to breakfast, then grocery shopping. Granddaughter came with me and we went to the Walmart and there is the same shortage sign there and empty shelves on a lot of product. I bought some store brand canned stuff. Went to Dollar Tree, and the store was 1/4 empty. Granddaughter noticed right away. Then went to Krogers and were surprised at the price of pasta and Walmart, too. $1.49 to $1.69? Lettuce and celery are ridiculously priced right now. Did get a bargain on Roma tomatoes at 50 cents a lb, so they will go in the dehydrator. Bought 20 lbs. Need to go into work for awhile.

We have a Maine Coon that growls when somebody knocks :) The dog barks too, but I find the cat is more terrifying to people :)
I had a Norweigen Elkhound that never barked. People would come over and he would just sit there and watch them. It made some people extremely uncomfortable.

Haven't done anything today. Back has been hurting since Wed night and today hasn't been good at all. Been trying to get it loosened up, but nothing has worked yet.

Not a good time for it either, I need to till and hoe the garden, mow the yard, and pick blueberries

Oh my Bacp backache is bad. Hubby was laid up half of last week. I hope you get better soon. :huggs:

My wonderful dog Alice didn't bark either, she just watched and if any sudden movements she then showed teeth. She did send my nephew to ER when he dove at me across campground to show me his kid. She thought he was attacking. She was part greyhound and yellow lab that jumped across fence. A greyhound rescue puppy. Lived to be 18 too very rare for large dogs. Greyhounds are known to live long time for for large breeds.

Oh I'll live... at least till I'm not. Good Lords call on that. Just bad timing with so much needing done. Hopefully will feel better tomorrow , or Monday for sure. Gotta go back to work then.

Not a lot happening here either as it is a day of rest being a Sunday.

We started off the morning with studying 2 scripture lessons together one from last week as we were busy in the gardens and this week's lesson too. We then went to the RSL club and did some service and we brought up all the spare tables and chairs from under the building and put them in the court yard. They are easier to bring up for functions and the like from there. Stayed and had a soft drink each and DH and other RSL committee members discussed club purchases and other items that were important to get finalised.

Back home again and relaxing and about to have warm showers and for dinner we will have the other half of our mince and vegetable stir fry.

This morning we started off the morning with myself weeding two garden beds and dug one inground bed to loosen the soil while DH rototilled the rest of the horse manure we had composting into the soil in the back yard. He then brought the amended soil around in a wheelbarrow and finished filling up the rest of the above and inground garden beds and he and I raked it all out to level the soil out.

Then inside where DH washed the dishes and cleaned the benches and I wiped them and put them away and DH went to the post office and picked up our curtain material that had arrived.

Tonight's dinner is homemade mushroom, capsicum and chicken pizza.

My laptop had died an unnatural death.
So am using oldest son's all in one desktop computer.
This is interesting to say the least.
But it's free, so can't complain to much.
This is my second week in my new apartment.
So far I like it.
Moved a two bedroom apartment into a one bedroom apartment.
Only got rid of several small pieces of furniture, didn't like to start with.
Most everything is put away. Still working on odds and ends, getting them put away.
Maintenance is going to add another clothes bar and shelf in the closet.
So I can hang uniforms, coats up without anything dragging on the ground.
Have yearly check up on left knee that was replaced last year at this time Tuesday.
See the surgeon for that.
Going to schedule the surgery for the right total knee replacement then too.
Last month I arced the neurologist, right before I had seizure.
After he picked himself up off the ground.
He decided to schedule MRI, CAT Scan, EEG as to why the seizures were changing somewhat.
Am sitting in my new apartment with long sleeve denim shirt jacket on, because not used to central heat and air.
Been 7 years since I had central heat and air.
Have to get used to it again.
Air conditioning and heat that actually work when they are suppose too.
Everybody have a nice day.

So sorry to hear about your loss Carib.
Also sorry to hear about your dad Peanut.
Spike, glad to hear about your foot being fixable.
Sitting here reading to see what I have missed while gone.

Glad your back Mobook and finally getting settled into your new place.

It is bad to lose our parents for sure. It is good we always have the memories. It took me 3 years not to pick up the phone and call mama. I'd get a sinking feeling when I realized I couldn't talk to her again. Hubby lost his a couple years ago and does the same thing.

The podiatrist said he's 99% sure my heel trouble is plantar fasciitis, based on the fact that I don't have symptoms of a stress fracture or any other issue that could cause my pain. Now I've got a bunch of stretches, ice regimen, etc. to do. Strangely, he said I am not to walk barefoot or in stocking feet, ever - not at all. Not even to go to the bathroom or get a drink. Ha - do you know how hard that is? I find I get up and then when I get back to my chair I remember I was supposed to put my shoes on...

Thank you to those who wished me well with my foot. The doc says it's pretty much 100% fixable.

Hubby had that as well as my SIL. The foot brace to wear at night seemed to help the most but both expressed how uncomfortable it was. The berkenstock insouls are spendy but hubby wears them to this day to keep it at bay. It's no fun not to be able to walk. Hope you're dancin' again before long.
