Did the monthly Walmart run. Big fight in the Walmart! Was told it was two female employees. I couldn't see them as there were too many folks around them--half of them shooting video. One employee says she is quitting as she doesn't feel safe there now. Came home and DH was shocked that I spent $120 for the month. He doesn't understand how well I did. We wouldn't have a weeks worth of groceries if he shopped!

Feel better, Timmie.
Picked up young granddaughter at the airport last night, and I get her for two weeks. She's in foster care there because of her very screwed up mom. She's a sibling (with a different mom) of the twins that live with us. We send for her every summer, and she shocked the heck out of me this year...went from a size 8 to a size 14. The twins were chubbos in foster care before we got them permanently. Anyway, the little one turns 8 in a few weeks. She's been busy eating fast food, with her face in a screen in a small apartment while in foster care. Had her help feed the chickens this morning, and she pulled a few buckets of oat grass for them. Grandson has a marching band recital this evening. Hoping to get little granddaughter out of foster care, but of course, they're pushing us to be foster parents, and that won't work. Holding my ground for guardianship. We have a ton of work to do at the school this week...getting ready for the yard sale of everything (but the furniture), and cleaning everything else.

Roof gutter contrator arrived to day to finish the install. Almost two months after my Roof Contractor notified them the roof was ready. Both Contractors did excellent work. Felt sorry for my Roof Contractor because I'm holding 50% until the total job is done. Email Roof C, a few minutes he emailed me back the final invoice. I wrote the check and its in the mailbox waiting for USPS.

Not doing much this afternoon.
Had whiney, cranky grand daughter this morning.
She's trying to cut Back MOLARS.
But this tired Granny won't have her again until Monday.
Went to several of my favorite orchards yesterday.
Spent $15 got peaches(variety seconds) for $10 got a peck, 2 cucumbers for 50 cents, 2 yellow squash for $1, peck of tomatoes for $3, 4 green peppers for 50 cents( lady at orchard said she wasn't charging full price for those puny peppers.

Still battling getting used to the medication and find I have to eat more so I don't feel faint and dizzy but seem to have it sorted now. I am currently taking 9 tablets a day to control anaemia 1 and 2 tablets a day to control my heartbeat and 6 to control the hyperthyroidism. Feeling better all round though.

We took it a little easier today and did the minimal as I was having dizzy spells (got it now eat more regularly). We folded up three loads of washing and put it away and DH had his trainer come over to train DH do the book work for the RSL club and he has now got one month done. I watered the potted fruit trees and herbs and set the water off to dampen the soil down in the garden beds that are yet to be planted and the new timer is working a treat.

DH got the fire going as it is supposed to be -1 oc tomorrow morning with frosts. Tonight's dinner is homemade pizza and we will probably have tinned fruit for dessert.

Got the van bed done, vacuumed and a couple containers loaded in it yesterday along with lots of other stuff.
Not sure what I'll do today, hubby is working on weed eater that quit on us.
Yelled at one of the dogs for doing what she knows she is not allowed ot do,but she just had to check out the new hay bedding my flower bed.I put back hat little bit of hay she disturbed.
She always immediently comes up to me to apologize for what she did while her sister just sits and gives me dirty looks when she gets in trouble.

By 9AM, weed-eated, mowed whole yard, hung humming bird feeders, finished up dishes, washed and hung a load of laundry, another load ready- will do tonight so we can add today's clothes, got my green beans in the canner, took a shower, readied a huge pot for planting, hung a ladder sideways in summer kitchen to be used as drying rack for plants (herbs), washed the windows outside, and now for next few min. until green beans are done will begin cleaning my lavender and getting it ready to infuse. It's supposed to be hot for the next few days so am glad that's all done. I do still have a batch of tomatoes to process but needed to sit for a few min.

Took a couple hours hike up in the hills this morning before it starts raining this afternoon.

Hiwall, I love hills. I grew up running through the woods on hills. Now I'm here in Florida and not a real hill in sight.
But I hear it is dangerous to visit Stone Mountain now. Plus they are talking about blowing up the carving of the southern generals, its racist!
Already outlawed the song ' Dixie ' being played at the Laser Show thats racist too.
I care for all people but this is getting insane.

I don't know if you know or not, but if you go to the epipen website you can get a "discount card" from them. No co-pay if you have insurance and half off if you don't have insurance.

Hope the pain and swelling don't last to long.

That's "Progressives" for ya'. They care nothing about the past or all that was done to get us where we are today.
The only thing they care about is the latest thing that popped up on their phone screen:callyou:.
That memorial is doomed, it's just a matter of when.

Those are one of the few things that will get me to violate the Geneva Convention and resort to chemical-warfare.
I say kill'em all!

Did the animal stuff this morning, been busy cooking all day. A belated birthday dinner for husband is tonight, so I made dark chocolate cream pies, cole slaw, and macaroni salad. Son will be barbequing ribs. Our daughter will be coming in from a pharmacy rotation she has for a month...up north at a reservation. I'm sure she'll have stories to tell. We always enjoy everyone's weekly stories on the weekend. Going to the school in a minute with the truck to pick up some of the bigger items. It's hotter than heck outside, so I'm procrastinating.

@GrannyG Those are so painful! I use ACV on stings. Seems to help alleviate the sting, but that swelling is probably just as painful. Hope it goes down soon.
@Amish Heart I sure hope you get guardianship of your g-daughter. Fast food and screens aren't good for anybody let alone an eight year old. Hope you both enjoy the visit.
@Meerkat That makes me sad. What if the Romans had done that or other ancient groups. What would our artwork be today? Probably Lego art

Visited a friend who is camping at our local State Park, today. Went for a walk and checked out her inflatable kayak. Came home and attempted to make spring rolls with peanut dipping sauce. Not exactly photo worthy! LOL Ended up in a bowl as a salad with peanut dressing. Very good that way! Cut some more okra off the plants and am now preparing to watch some tv with dh.

Granny that is dangerous. Good idea to get a epi pen.

Granny G that is exactly what the Romans did. Rome was a Republic that was destroyed by citizen apathy and sports and entertainment aka Bread and Circus's. They brought in cheap foreign labor and spread out too far too soon.
I'm a history buff always liked history. I have forgotten alot of it though.

My bride and I are beginning our new chapter in life on the new homestead. Movers got everything moved. Now the hard part, putting everything in its place. The tomatoes moved well (all in containers) and we have a bunch ready to pick and prepare for canning. Enjoyed the sunrise over the property for the first time this morning. Got two views, one from the deck and another off the patio. Simply amazing!

Finally pulled off the stems the last of the green grapes I am going to do...my hand is still pretty swelled from the hornets...grapes in the slow cooker making juice...it is so good we keep drinking it...tomorrow, start of the purple grapes for winter juice....last of the peaches picked...two....LOL...so hubby will eat them later.....looks like the fig trees will be giving us enough for jam this fall...they are still very tiny...flowers drying up, everything needs more water.

Dishes are done.
3 loads of laundry is washed, dried, hung up or folded and put away.
Strawberry has been outside the required amount of time today.
Her poor nose got stung by hornet or ground wasp.
She got extra loving because of that.
Yard has been clean up from her business for the week.
Trash taken out for the week.
Coffee is make up for tomorrow morning.
Supper is made for tomorrow too.
Chicken Pasta salad, fruit, coffee or tea.
Sewing I eat 6 small meals to keep sugar from dropping to low.
I have just about eaten that peck of peaches that I got over the weekend.
Will make some kind of stir fry in the next couple of days, to use up the fresh items that need used up.
Thought about 2 minutes about making Peach Salsa with this peck, but decided to eat them instead.
Probably will have grand daughter tomorrow.
Granny G., you be careful out there, might ought to get EpiPen filled or replaced.
Suppose to start raining tomorrow them rain for 7 days straight.
We'll see.
Timmie, sorry you have been ill.
Amish Heart, take your time, you'll get it done eventually.
Hopefully you'll get custody of that grand daughter too.
Terri, hope you get your washer fixed soon.
Everybody have a wonderful day, afternoon, evening, night wherever you may be in the world.
Me, I'm in Missouri at the moment.
