What's everybody doing today?

Sounds like a nice place to visit, spikedriver. I loved places like that as a kid.

My friend just sent me pics of the 4 kittens his cat just had. I'm hoping they take good care of them, but his fiance wants them put out of the house. I'm trying to convince her to let them stay inside. If they go out, they'll die.

Meanwhile, I found out that two of the local Walmart cashiers tested positive for Covid-19 & the local Walmart hasn't done anything to step up protections-- if anything, they've slacked off more. Another friend of mine is in the hospital right now with diabetic complications. She's got neuropathy & other issues & has been having a very hard time controlling her sugar levels.

Update on son and grand daughter apartment.
They slept there last night all night.
They were over today, for most of the day.
Grand daughter decided she wasn't mad at Granny anymore.
Besides that I have the "noodles" and coffee.
Hence why she wasn't mad at me anymore.
Yep, she's 2.5 years old and drinks coffee in toy Tupperware cup.
She might get a tablespoon of coffee in her orange(her favorite color) coffee cup.
We chopped up vegetables today so she could help me make meatloaf today.
I didn't get much done, that I had planned, but she had fun.
She tried to give Strawberry a drink of her coffee.
Nope, Strawberry wasn't having that.
We played outside this morning for about 4 hours.
We had work to do.
Dusting out the floors, dusting furniture, getting trash gathered up and put into kitchen trash can.
She helped (hindered) wash dishes up.
Granny got lots of hugs today.
Strawberry is snoring loudly on the love seat pooped out for today's activities.
I'm not far behind her.
Got part of the masks done for my friend done and they were picked up this morning.
Will work on rest in the morning.

Talked granddaughters into packing the DVD's. I wrapped up and boxed the dishware in the china cabinet. Lots of bubble wrap. Had great barbeque tri tip tonight. We have a wall of boxes in our front room.

Kids have schoolwork till noon, and after that they pick up their musical instruments from the High School. Little granddaughter has class zoom meeting at 4, then an American Heritage Girls zoom meeting at 730. We have a Sams pickup between 7 and 8 tonight. Feeling scheduled. Ha. Will be getting more things boxed.

Internet research while monitoring two VHF repeaters, local Town's frequency, CB channel 19 and waiting for the sun to allow HF 20 meters to come alive so I can check in on a NET.

Sipping coffee, listening to Strawberry snoring.
She was pretty pooped after grand daughter and son left yesterday.
But so was I.
Grand daughter on one side of Granny's lap( left side), Strawberry on right side in recliner yesterday both snoring away.
They took about 3 hour nap in Granny's lap. Son sacked out on love seat snoring away.
Granny watching the back of her eyelids watching TV.
Grand daughter has schedule at Granny's house.
Not much of one anywhere else.
She hits the door running.
Jacket, coat, hat, shoes come off and put in designated places.
Breakfast yesterday morning was pancake, cause that's what I was eating, coffee.
Brush our teeth, comb our hair, potty.
Then we're ready for the day.
If we go outside, we have to put shoes back on, maybe a jacket.
If weather is nice, we go outside look at rocks, flowers,Strawberry takes care of her business.
Then it's serious playtime. Soccer practice.
Then we have to climb to build muscles, burn energy.
Rest for 15 minutes so Granny can have coffee.
Then back outside for 30-45 more minutes.
Then come back inside for snack-fruit( granny coffee, rest).
Wash up and start to prepare lunch.
We prepped vegetables( carrots, mushrooms,onion,peppers ) for meatloaf.
She helped me squish meatloaf ingredients together.
She doesn't like the feel of egg on her hands.
It's yucky.
Meatloaf, sweet potatoes, russet potatoes in oven for hour- 1.5 hour.
One last playtime outside before lunch.
When she leaves for the day, I'm pooped.

And so my day goes.

No banging, sawing,drilling,hammering. No bobcat running all over the yard tearing it up.
No radio blasting
( glad thats all done at least until the weekend probably)
Easy breakfast for one
Gardening worked on in the quiet without having to stop to "help"
Have to get a shower
Decide whats for supper
Do up some dishes ( might wait till after lunch)

I haven't decided what to do today. I need a battery for the generator and a new vacuum sealer. My vacuum sealer was acting up last night, wouldn't pull a vacuum without repeated trys.

I guess I need to check on the chicken pen after all the water. I need to move the peeps to down there asap. They are too big for their current home.

Walked this morning, took eBay photos, doing laundry now and will make a crazy crust veggie pizza later.

I made storm cookies last night at 9:00 pm. Actually, peanut butter cookies. I always want to bake when a storm is coming. DH gets the baking results!

Does anyone know when a week from Tuesday after the 2nd Saturday of the month happens?

I got line for the weedeater and finished the chicken pen. I got the battery in the mower charged up. I still need to change oil and sharpen the blades. I might as well get a new spark plug for it.

I still need a battery for the generator but I do have new spark plugs for it. I still need to put the new chain on the pole saw, install a new pull cord and change the plug (which I have).

Got the peeps moved down to the main chicken pen today. The peeps won't know where to roost so I'll have to go down about dark and help them find their way into the coop.

Trying to decide whats for dinner at the moment.

Got the kids down to the High School to pickup their band instruments. Talked to a Kansas cousin who does construction who will be starting the downstairs bedroom/handicapped bathroom add on. Have to pickup Sams tonight after dinner. Need to get more boxes done. But need to figure out new places to stack them.

Woke up with a headache. ouch. Worked on flower beds in the front, came across a little snake, about the size of my pinky, (a little bigger around than a pen, and about 8 inches long) and several geckos and anoles were skittering around.
Can't figure out where the time goes every day. Feel like I've been running around but yet, no, I haven't. Forgot to make the phone calls I was going to make. Meant to get a vehicle inspected today but that requires clearing the codes, driving it for 70 miles, then to the inspection LOL, and this is not that kind of day.
Yeah, look, I know how to adult all by myself but it sucks.
There is too much to take care of so if you're alone and you like it, more power to ya. :lil guy:

By dingy, if it's sipping coffee, then that's for your sanity. I just had a piece of homemade double chocolate bundt cake. Next I might have a nap and take a shower, reverse those. Working in flower beds always helps me too.

But did finally slept in til 0630 hours.
Got a bit of headache trying to start.
Weather must be going to change again.
Trying to keep it from turning into migraine.
Last 14 days have been kinda rough on this woman.
Not used to son and grand daughter living with me.
Even Strawberry didn't want to get moving today.
