@Patchouli Bucket head… I like that. Little did I know that there is a musician who goes by the name bucket head, found him on the net… Maybe I’ll get my nephew a T-shirt from the musician guy… Tell him I thought he was a fan!

OK, Meer. Move update: Was originally hoping for end of May. Not happening. Then mid June, but husband scheduled 2 local doc appts here for the end of June. So now it's July. I say the first week, he says mid month. Pod #1 is all loaded to the brim, though. It gets picked up Monday. The 11th of May comes the next pod, #2. It gets picked up I think the 15th. He scheduled the last pod when I want to move, the first week of July. But the date can be changed. We're thinking of towing a small uHaul behind our pickup truck when we are gone for good. We also need to bring 2 dogs and a parrot. Possibly some chicks. Found out that they can open transport my Challenger and a couple of motorcycles for a decent price, so we might take them up on that. Rather be in one vehicle with husband, animals, and 3 kids so I can give husband a driving break. We'll see on that, though. Bantams got all picked up this evening, so another run can come down tomorrow. A cousin called today and filled husband in on all the goings on at the farm. He is a dairy farmer, and the milk company that picks up from him said that they've had to dump two tanks. They will be picking up 30 percent less milk from the dairy farmers because of the lack of transporters. I'm thinking making lots of cheese and waxing it. He put all the junior cows on our property and they're using the main barn and munching all the grasses growing tall. He was worried about satellite sightings that the community is talking about and talked to my husband about it. They've had 27 cases in their county of covid. We get more than that in one day in our county.

Thank you Amisih for th update now I know more about what your discussing . :thumbs:Have a great day .

I didn't know that either. i tried to listen to one of the songs, nah fanks. I'm sure somebody likes buckethead.
Interesting, the video was from 2014 but yet one of his crew had on a medical face mask. 🤔

I've not heard of 'it' and after seeing the bleeding head don't want to.And we wonder whats wrong with the younger generation today, just look at all the crap Hollyhoods and the music entertainemnt industry feeds them now.
We left facebook 5 1/2 yr ago. Going back on last month to see family on video instead of just phone calls since we are isolated ,its gotten even worse now with what some of them put up. Very sad.

Been out visiting the mutt this morning.
Sun is shining.
Suppose to be nice , next 3 days , then rain again.

Need to replant garden.
Too muddy.

Got an email from my bank, the gov made a deposit to my checking account.
Need to go get that and stimulate the economy.

Will go outside and see what projects jump out at me.

Jim

@phideaux I have been busy today. I don't like this kind of busy. Time to do something for me.
Peanut, no words. How can someone just NOT repair fences and their moo-cows keep escaping? Bucket head nephew.
@The Lazy L I like your weather channel. Yours too, hiwall. See, that's something you wouldn't ordinarily see a woman setting up.

I think @Bacpacker will let everybody else do the climbing, that's why he's the boss.
A friend brought me lovely dessert.

I had a test to do online, and only a short amount of time to get it done and submitted. o_O
I've learned how to do things in the past year that I would have rather just let someone else do, but no. I had to do it, and now I know. Just as soon as somebody does the hundred meter mosey over to my house is when it gets done so I do it myself. So, I haven't gotten shocked yet, or busted my knuckles or gotten greasy hands. I'm still making a lot of errors though. lol
Yeah patch Indont have to climb but I am responsible for their safety while they climb. And it'll be my butt if someone got hurt. No wins deal with that

So far half of thr work done the hardest part, but veggies not planted only thing planted was me back here online. [although it is too hot to plant beans anyway]/
I did get bed clothes all washed including the mattress pads.

Strawberry escaped this morning.
She was gone about hour 15 minutes before she come running home tired.
Me I just walked around with cup of coffee in my hand.
Worked in flower bucket, pulled a few oak tree samplings out of coal bucket.
Rose Moss is in the coal bucket under the pump.
Carrots are coming up I think.
My goodness that one whiskey barrel will be full of all kinds of interesting plants soon.
Asparagus, okra, carrots, green beans, wild flowers, tulips, kinda forgot that was grand daughter's garden patch.
My one raised bed has green beans coming through about 2-4 inches tall.
My tomato plants have blooms on them.
Strawberry is resting after her adventures this morning.
Watered all the garden beds, houseplants.

Got our taxes done yesterday. It was a wash. Stopped at local grocery for fruits and veggies. Called cable company and got bill reduced by $25 a month. Have to call them every 6-9 months.

Walking this morning, washing blankets and rugs, will sweep house, do eBay photos and make a few calls.
Wanna trade? We get to pay several thousand since CPA didn't include Soc.Sec. in quarterlies 🤬 Not happy - we prefer a wash.

Went to a couple county parks in the next county over this morning. I hadn't been to either one before. The first was a dud - it's basically just a little wetland slough, good for bird hunting, but that's it. Nothing much to see. The second was a canoe access on the river, with a two track trail going 2.5 miles upriver to another canoe launch. It was full of old cottonwoods and dead elms, and the bluebells were in bloom everywhere. I walked about 3 miles total and enjoyed it.

Afterwards, I hit the farm store and picked up a couple boxes of my preferred 9mm SD ammo, which I was running short on. So, all in all, not a bad day so far...

Went down to the dump , dumped some stuff.
Went to the bank.
Stopped by local , only , general farm , hardware store ,and bought some more cayene and sweet banana peppers, also a bale of straw for front yard seeding work . Almost peed myself $5.50 a bale.

Spent quite a bit of time , after all that , cleaning up a brush pile , pushing it over the edge by the giant log in the creek crossing.
Going to burn it in a day or 2 . Figure it will burn about a month.

This time next year he may be able to pull that log for you.

Is Strawberry feeling like she needs to run away because of the new disciplinary actions?
I don't think so.
I know she likes to run.
She's Beagle and Jack Russell mix.
Most of the time she does okay with the new disciplinary rules.
But the good news about this morning's escapes, I wasn't handling her.
The trainer was.

Today, I am living in a senior facility. My mom has dementia, but still in Independent Living (a nice facility with restaurants, activities, etc). But she has begun falling quite a bit, along with mental decline. So I had to move in with her to help until we can get her moved to a memory care facility. I was lucky they let me in - normally these days you can't even visit your relatives in such facilities. But the down side is, now that I (an outsider) has come in, my mom and I are under quarantine. We have to stay in her apartment and not venture out to any group areas. This will be for two weeks. This is not going to be easy, or fun. But we'll manage somehow.

On the bright side, even though the restaurants here are closed for dining (not that we could go there anyway being in quarantine, they are still cooking and delivering food to the apartments. For lunch today I had prime rib. I guess I can't complain about that! Food is free also.

Yesterday first of all the good news is that the travel bans have been relaxed a little as of today in Queensland and you are allowed to go out for exercise and non essential travel only within 50 km of your home though . We can also have two visitors outside our immediate families visit the home which has been for a little while now.

I think we have done all our shopping for a while while on essential travel for medical and welfare purposes though so don't see a need to do any more for quite some time. We are still classified as in lockdown though.

We got a few different jobs done both inside and outside of the home today which was good.

We both stain removed some clothing and each put on a load of washing on in the washing machine and hung it on the clothes line to dry. I then raked up the remaining tree prunings and put them in the bin.

Being that it was somewhat cooler and cloudier yesterday we decided to fill in a few more storm water drains as we are just putting the last final coat of dirt on them to level the ground out above where we put in the pipes and a few holes near the back machinery shed. DH tilled the area where we were taking the dirt out of and filled up 3 large wheelbarrow loads and put the dirt where I could spread it out in the lower areas with a rake. Between us we got quite a lot done but still more to do.

After washing my hands I also brought in one load of washing that was dry and the other load got rained on so I will take that one in tomorrow. I set of the grey water from the tank to water another mulberry tree and weeded underneath it and part the way around the base of the mandarin tree as well. :)

We had a bit of a break and DH packaged all the meat into meal sized portions giving us 5 more meals of beef mince and 5 more meals of chicken drumsticks while I dated, rotated and put away the groceries bought yesterday.

DH had a bit of a break and I washed the 340 g of green beans I got on markdown for 0.49c from Woolworths yesterday. I put the steamer pot with water on the stove to heat up while I chopped up the beans. Once the water had boiled I steamed/blanched them for 5 minutes and put them in iced water to cool off and drained them of water after 5 minutes after they cooled. DH just packaged them into 2 meal sized portions for the freezer for us with each bag giving us 2 serves of vegetables for two meals. We will mix these with other homegrown and other vegetables for meals.

Yesterday's dinner will be a bacon and capsicum omelette with a dash of smoky paprika for taste and sprinkled with grated cheese on top.

We have a graziers and sheep alert for cold weather last tonight and are expected to get down to 5 oc tomorrow morning with cooler nights following and have had lots of icy breeze and rain this afternoon. I can see a good wood fire going in our home in the slow combustion stove for the next few nights to keep us warm.

So far round 1 of today is we are sitting here thawing out and having hot chocolate each and DH has put on a loaf of bread in the bread making machine. We have opened up all the windows and curtains on the sunny side of the home to warm inside a bit more.

Contemplating bringing up some firewood & kindling shortly to stock us up for tonight for our first winter fire as it is going to be 4 oc with a wind chill factor it will be -1 oc tonight.

Hang in there, Haertig. You can do it. Glad the food is good.
Congrats, Terri! How many eggs in your incubator? Last time I had 22 in ours, and only 13 hatch. Have 23 in there now and they are due this weekend. We will see. The last batch of 13 aren't even 3 weeks old, and starting bin jumping. They now have grates over the top.
