I'm thankful that your wife is being taken care of, Jim! I know you need to rest, too and hoping you can today for a bit!

Woke up at 3:30 this morning. Last day on any steroids. Yay! Hope it gets out of me soon! Did video then went to Walmart for monthly stock up and Kroger for sales. Got back home in time to feed dogs. Have been on the phone a good part of the morning with VA, pharmacy and my doctor. (Cancelled appt. with ortho as my thumb is close to normal now)
Took eBay photos, made rice for the pups, put up a rain gauge. Going to mess around the rest of the day aside from chores.

As my mom would say "3:30 is an afternoon time." Hope you are able to get some rest and get back to normal now that the meds are finished.

My daughter has to take steroids for her eczema at times, she hates them too.

For @phideaux & Mrs.
Hope you're both home and feeling better soon~

Tied up a lot of loose ends at work today. Working on all thats needed to bring in a vendor from Ohio that is bringing the heart of our comms system project. Started now to be sure it's done and approved before 9/14. Found out I'm covering for my boss next week since he is taking a week's vacation.

Leaving work at 1 tomorrow. Wife and I are celebrating our 36th anniversary. Some said it wouldn't last. LOL

Glad mama came thru the surgery in good shape. Hope she feels as good tomorrow.

Good to hear from you Sentry and that your getting so much done.

I have been on the phone alot this week with kids.Plus FB talking about the granddaughters wedding and pictures taken of it are coming in now. Guess pandemic afects even wedding pictures that use to come in all at once. She is very happy though and loves her job as a realitor. She got both her mariage certificate and picked up her real estate license today too. She passed that exam a few weeks ago and got married the 8th. times are slow for sure, but she is very happy.

Happy Anniversary to Mr and Mrs Backpacker!
We picked up my favorite cousin this afternoon and went to see her brother's wife (another cousin), pretty much to say goodbye. I will miss her so much. She is the sweetest person. On hospice, today on oxygen, lots of morphine. Has cancer that has now traveled everywhere. Her name is Edith, and she whispered to us that she was in the back watching the crowd. She said the line was very long, and she is in the back waiting her turn. It was a goodbye visit.

Congrats BP and Mrs - and many more 💕
Awe Amish I’m sorry. That’s so difficult. May you hold the happy memories close to your heart and know she will also be loved where she is headed.
Meer - fun seeing youngins getting started. May they make it as long as BP and Patch 😍
Hiwall - wahoo, walking is good! Beautiful scenery makes it that much better.

Way to busy of late. I went to the big town for a few groceries and took 7 cartons of eggs with me, sold all my eggs. I called my neighbor I got my rooster from. She has about 40 hens and sells eggs. Nope, she didn’t have any spare cartons so I guess I’ll have to buy some. The best price I’ve found is 150 paper/pulp egg view cartons for $67.50. Funny, the ones with things like “Farm Fresh” printed on them are cheaper than the blank ones.

Anyway, my neighbor is from Wisconsin, right up the road from Kenosha. Her family still lives there and she remembered I lived in the area once. So, we had a long chat about Wisconsin politics. There is a new sign that's flying off the shelves, people putting them in their yards. They read "My Governor is an *****"

I finally got around to putting pot holder hooks onto my move-able kitchen island, been meaning to do it for the last 15 years. Hey, at least it’s done.

I need to cut the grass down by the chicken pen but it’s been raining for seems like a couple of weeks. I saved watermelons seeds, put them on a paper towel and out on a window seal to dry in the Alabama August sun. The humidity has been so high from the rain the seeds molded!!! Enough rain already!

@phideaux thinking of you and yours

Long day. Ready to get back on the night shift and quit bouncing around. Smoke is thick today.
Sitting here watching livestream of more protests after another armed man was shot this afternoon in LA by the police. I’ve learned that if everyone strips down naked and runs at the police it’s against the law for them to shoot you 😂 Who comes up with this stuff???
Hope y’all had a good day and of course sweet dreams everyone!

Husband and I get to go to Mom's apartment at the Menno Manor today and go through all of her papers she hides everywhere to find two 1099's that are needed for her tax appointment. My sister usually deals with this yearly, but does not want to fly in from Florida because of Covid. This could take all day, and maybe we still won't find them, but maybe we will because she wants to go to Walmart, too. She is insisting on returning two pairs of pants she bought a few years ago, still have the tags on them, don't fit.

Been waiting for a year for a dead tree to fall. I've waited long enough! This morning I'd planned on dropping it and then spending the morning cutting it up so I can handle it. Woke up to an overcast sky with a high percentage chance of rain! I'm back to waiting for the tree to fall on its own until I'm in the mood again.

Sunday night wife told me she's working every day this week (she's self-employed). This morning she's following my example of piddling around, when I asked her when she's leaving for work she tells me she's isn't working today. I guess every day doesn't included Tuesdays?

Chicken chores. Mow lawns until the rain starts.

Heading to the hospital for a scheduled CT Scan of my kidneys.
They need to check to see if any cancer has returned after the Cryogenic Ablations earlier this year.

If I come away with a clean bill of health, then I'm good to go for my transplant in 2 weeks!
I hate the anxiety that comes from not knowing.
It's a good thing they want me to come in with an empty stomach. I don't think I could eat anything right now anyway...

@phideaux , I pray for continued improvement for your wife!
@Amish, so sad that cancer is taking another person's life. Does your mom have a file cabinet or box where she can keep important papers? Maybe she would hide them anyway, even if she had a special place to keep them.
@Sparky_D , I am wishing you the best, and wondering what recovery looks like for a kidney replacement?
@Double R , how are the fires doing? I saw yesterday that the ones in Colorado were 77% contained yesterday. There is some snow predicted for the mountains, but don't know if that area will get any and what good it will do for them. I would think that it could not hurt.

Sparky hoping all is well :huggs:and you transplant is on time.

Amish, I dont think clothing returns, or returns of any kind, are being accepted in stores. Our Wal-Mart doesn't since the COVID. You know, they think what you return may have the virus on it. Let us know what happens.
I don’t shop at Walmart anymore but I did do an amazon “return” at Kohl’s a while back. Didn’t even think about stores not taking returns.

That’s great they are making so much progress on the Colorado fire!
I know that they are gaining containment and it has been “cooler” here so that has to be helping. That’s about all I know. My good friends husband is up at one of the complex fires up by where we hunt and we’re waiting for a check in from him. I’m sure we’ll know more if we get to talk to him. Service is hit and miss up there though so we’ll see. It’s been quite smokey the last few days. I know my sinuses and lungs aren’t happy.

I definitely second this 👆🏼!!! Hugs and all! @Meerkat is quick and beat me to it 😂

I had ordered almond milk back in April and they sent the wrong one. They accepted the return via mail. I think it is case by case and also how you are returning. Mail is okay for certain reasons and products. In store is not.
