Wind shifted around to the north earlier, so I put the seedling tray (or foil pan) on the back step, which is in the lee of the building when the wind blows out of the north. I watered the tray again too, and boy, did those seedlings ever perk up, lol... they look good right now, with that strong afternoon sun beating down on them. There's just enough breeze wrapping around the SW corner of the mud room to keep the seedlings moving and strengthen their stems. So this is what I'll do for this coming week, just pick my moments to put the tray out in a protected place and let that high desert sunshine do its work. I'm still leery about putting the seedlings in the ground, since we have 45-50 m.p.h. winds in the forecast later this week. Seems like those winds would beat the seedlings to death...
Thankfully, the wind has tapered off and is quite reasonable now, so I'm gonna grab the opportunity to water everything in the yard. I don't like watering in high winds, too much waste with the increased evaporation.
