I keep drawers of extra for visitors in a guest room. A drawer of underwear all sizes, mens and womens, socks, bras, stocking caps, gloves. The stocking cap drawer was needed this last round of guests. I just buy stuff on sale or end of season. Ditto for the closet with the sweatshirts and jackets.
If you don't mind washing out socks by hand and hanging them to dry, I guess a few pair would be ok. But they might wear out.

A warm and muggy day today spent most of it in Mount Gambier after making a quick phone call to my employment consultant last fortnights pay was deposited in just before 10:30am to think said call could've been avoided if pay was given on Friday night not 2 days late

Whilst mum was doing window shopping at Kmart and other half at her appointment I went down to MGS towing to finish salvaging what was left behind the previous week good news is that I've managed to save myself from forking out $125 for a new RFI brand base/lead by salvaging the original one off my old SUV minus its PL259 plug that will only cost about $10 for a part and crimping/repair

I'm waiting on a call back from Dylan my radio techie at CSE Crosscom about seeing if i can get a VHF and UHF antennas installed with a t piece connector leading to one singular coaxial lead allowing me to transmit on amateur radio

Whilst at MGS towing thanking them for being an approved tower of RAA probed a bit more into the third party who had his vehicle towed turns out they brought it off of him because it only had a dented rear chassis then sold it to pickles vehicle auctions in Adelaide so its likely he got whatever the vehicle was worth plus a compensatory payout from my insurer as per the premium plus cover i had

Also to top it off his vehicle was only a farm Ute meaning its only meant to be driven on farming properties or between properties not on major thoroughfares plus said person didn't have no insurance apart from third party which is only attached to registration so according to mum the farmer is 99.5% responsible for the unfortunate incident by sitting on a major road waiting for someone to rear end him whilst I was only 5% responsible as result of not breaking quick enough to avoid it

Unfortunately due to the limited statute of limitations that prevents further probing into potential insurance fraud or deliberate write off by my insurance company seeing as how his vehicle wasn't insured whatsoever he walks away with a payout to buy another second hand farm vehicle. Meanwhile I'm still waiting on a lousy piece of paper which states my blood was free of booze at time of incident before my side of the claim can be finalized allowing me to get the appropriate payout so I'm able to be mobile again

Husband has a doc appt for his picc line bandage change around noontime, and we have a pharmacy pickup, too. So we'll be in the bigger town this afternoon. He has been up most of the night and not feeling well, so today will be a challenging day for him.
Other than that, still trying to get the house back in order after company. Little granddaughter goes back to school after being off all week.

it's 22 degrees outside and we have both stoves started again since it is supposed to stay below freezing all day

we have finally resolved the problem of son's waterlines freezing every winter. It causes huge problems because his water is heated through the wood stove also like ours ( if the water in the tank boils , the valve pops and boiling water and steam comes out but it's not really a safe situation) . We just drained the entire thing for winter, now he can at least have heat without problem. He has a bucket for flushing his toilet, and a gallon jug for making coffee and he takes showers at the house. He doesn't do dishes anyway, I do them so problem solved.

Debating if any of the animals are going out today, probably the sheep for a little while, they mind the cold least. The goat have access to the pasture from the barn so they can decide if they want out or not. They did not go out yesterday at all, but it was snowing. I saw a few stand at the door looking but didn't see them actually outside. Only the dog was out
Little goat boys are definitely staying in. We have now trained them to ride on the back of the Ranger, all 4 of them LOL. It's easier to transport them from their house to the pasture way at the other end of the property on that, than trying to get them to walk all that way. The big ones did it during the summer, but these guys are still small ( 50 lbs maybe)

It's collards day. They have been wilted (or they wouldn't have fit in the pot). Now to slow cook.

Is that what works for you? LOL! I've known people who change socks a couple times a day. Underwear could probably be a different story for men.

Have you looked to see how many pair of underwear are in the lady's drawer?

She has an 7 or 8 drawer "lingerie chest". I wouldn't go in there for $10,000 and 15,000 mail in ballots from a swing state.

Spent my requisite 2 hours cooking pup food for the week.

It's become a ritual for me. Always enjoy a glass of Bourbon or Whiskey during the process.

No idea what I might have for dinner. Still some Turkey Day leftovers, but I'm kinda tired of that.

Shopped for 3 hours today. PetSmart, Michaels, Costco, Kroger. Came home and put everything away, then began the pup food cooking. My poor back and feet are killing me!!!! But the Bourbon helps dull the pain!!!!! :D

It was/is cold! 84% humidity and a high of 35*. It took me half the morning to get warm enough to do anything productive. Keep trying to reclaim the house and keep ending up with “stuff” that doesn’t belong in the house 😒. We’ll get’er eventually.
Did 3 loads of laundry 🧺 (riveting I know).
Tomorrow will go pick up skis about an hour away then need to run into work for a few and since I will be out and about will probably get the few things on my list.

I think my skis are Atomics, but I can't remember. I've had them for 25 years or so. Not sure if I'll ever ski again; Mom was the one that got us into it and she, my daughter and I would go for a ski weekend several times a year. Her knees have gotten too bad to go anymore, and daughter and I don't want to go without her.
The three of us have had a lot of adventures over the years; now we're just grateful for those times that she feels up to doing a few chores together or going out for supper.
I had ordered a couple of turkeys that were on sale for .49/pound, but then was too sick to clean out the freezer to put them both away. So one got left in the fridge for a few days. I just baked it this evening, my house is so warm and smells so good! It's cooling on the rack and I'll stick it in the fridge before bed. Tomorrow I'll break it all down and vacuum pack up meal portions and get some to mom and my daughter. Looking forward to a turkey and mayo sammich tomorrow.

Underwear, ha! I've developed some...different....habits with this work from home job. I have work PJs and sleep PJs; or work shorts and sleep shorts and nary a panty line to be seen. My dog knows I'm leaving if she sees me take a shower and put on the unterhosen. She starts pacing about, getting in the way and trying to stop me from getting to the door. She stays a lot calmer if she sees it's just another pair of PJs after the shower.
And yes, I did almost have one of those "embarassing video" moments. I had to testify online for a hearing so wore go-to-meeting clothes up top. Thought I was all good until they asked me to stand up to be sworn in. Thankfully my sweater was long enough to cover the top of my plaid flannel PJ pants from the camera view.

Whilst mum was doing window shopping at Kmart and other half at her appointment
All of the Kmarts in our area are closed. I didn't shop there much. I mostly wore hand made clothing until I went to a Kmart when I was a teenager. I bought a nightgown. When I washed it, it was in shreds. My saying after that was "Kmart came apart."

Wifes best local friend came up to the campground to visit today. We ended up going to Smoky Mountain Knife Works. I picked up some kitchen knifes, including a nice big Henckels Chef's knife. Should be nice to prep meat for the griddle.
Also stopped by Bass Pro SHops since we were just down the road. I had a gift card my Niece gave me for my birthday. Picked up a few little things including some CCI SubSonic .22 ammo.
Back to the campground for a nice fire and a cigar. May get snow flurries tonight and down to 23. High tomorrow is suppose to be 38.

Kmart is still going very strong here in Australia unfortunately all Targets and Target Country's closed down with the one in Mount Gambier was torn down after closing to make way for a bigger Coles supermarket complex as their old one just across from Centro shopping center where Kmart and a whole bunch of other specialty stores are had big problems with the roofing as it started leaking hence why Coles management decided to build from scratch

Kmart works well alongside Big W which sells pretty much everything as well they are based out at another big shopping complex known as the Marketplace along with Woolworths, Donut King, Reject shop, Lowes, Priceline pharmacy along with a whole bunch of other specialty shops and bunnings warehouse is on the outside in its own huge building

Another quiet day today got up early as other half had a monthly doctors appointment in Millicent so mum, myself and other half left early in hopes of getting a couple bags of vegetable scraps from the local small supermarkets unfortunately both Foodland and IGA were picked clean by a local farmer who rears pigs so ended up getting a whole bag full of assorted discounted vegetables and day old bread from Woolworths. That should suffice until Mum gets a bag of vegetable scraps from IGA Penola tomorrow after finishing her volunteer work

After getting home I checked mail box and shock horror 😮😲 an envelope addressed to me low and behold it was the lousy stinking piece of paper I've been waiting exactly 3 weeks and 2 days to arrive which has cleared me of any alcohol or illicit substances in my blood at the time of unfortunate incident now its been emailed off to RAA just need to follow up with them in the morning for confirmation

I have one errand to run then I will probably go Christmas shopping. My wife has been no help whatsoever this year. Neither of us want or need anything. It kills me not to have packages for her under the tree, but we are almost to the point where we will just give each other gift certificates. Wish me luck.
