I keep drawers of extra for visitors in a guest room. A drawer of underwear all sizes, mens and womens, socks, bras, stocking caps, gloves. The stocking cap drawer was needed this last round of guests. I just buy stuff on sale or end of season. Ditto for the closet with the sweatshirts and jackets.
If you don't mind washing out socks by hand and hanging them to dry, I guess a few pair would be ok. But they might wear out.

A warm and muggy day today spent most of it in Mount Gambier after making a quick phone call to my employment consultant last fortnights pay was deposited in just before 10:30am to think said call could've been avoided if pay was given on Friday night not 2 days late

Whilst mum was doing window shopping at Kmart and other half at her appointment I went down to MGS towing to finish salvaging what was left behind the previous week good news is that I've managed to save myself from forking out $125 for a new RFI brand base/lead by salvaging the original one off my old SUV minus its PL259 plug that will only cost about $10 for a part and crimping/repair

I'm waiting on a call back from Dylan my radio techie at CSE Crosscom about seeing if i can get a VHF and UHF antennas installed with a t piece connector leading to one singular coaxial lead allowing me to transmit on amateur radio

Whilst at MGS towing thanking them for being an approved tower of RAA probed a bit more into the third party who had his vehicle towed turns out they brought it off of him because it only had a dented rear chassis then sold it to pickles vehicle auctions in Adelaide so its likely he got whatever the vehicle was worth plus a compensatory payout from my insurer as per the premium plus cover i had

Also to top it off his vehicle was only a farm Ute meaning its only meant to be driven on farming properties or between properties not on major thoroughfares plus said person didn't have no insurance apart from third party which is only attached to registration so according to mum the farmer is 99.5% responsible for the unfortunate incident by sitting on a major road waiting for someone to rear end him whilst I was only 5% responsible as result of not breaking quick enough to avoid it

Unfortunately due to the limited statute of limitations that prevents further probing into potential insurance fraud or deliberate write off by my insurance company seeing as how his vehicle wasn't insured whatsoever he walks away with a payout to buy another second hand farm vehicle. Meanwhile I'm still waiting on a lousy piece of paper which states my blood was free of booze at time of incident before my side of the claim can be finalized allowing me to get the appropriate payout so I'm able to be mobile again

Husband has a doc appt for his picc line bandage change around noontime, and we have a pharmacy pickup, too. So we'll be in the bigger town this afternoon. He has been up most of the night and not feeling well, so today will be a challenging day for him.
Other than that, still trying to get the house back in order after company. Little granddaughter goes back to school after being off all week.

it's 22 degrees outside and we have both stoves started again since it is supposed to stay below freezing all day

we have finally resolved the problem of son's waterlines freezing every winter. It causes huge problems because his water is heated through the wood stove also like ours ( if the water in the tank boils , the valve pops and boiling water and steam comes out but it's not really a safe situation) . We just drained the entire thing for winter, now he can at least have heat without problem. He has a bucket for flushing his toilet, and a gallon jug for making coffee and he takes showers at the house. He doesn't do dishes anyway, I do them so problem solved.

Debating if any of the animals are going out today, probably the sheep for a little while, they mind the cold least. The goat have access to the pasture from the barn so they can decide if they want out or not. They did not go out yesterday at all, but it was snowing. I saw a few stand at the door looking but didn't see them actually outside. Only the dog was out
Little goat boys are definitely staying in. We have now trained them to ride on the back of the Ranger, all 4 of them LOL. It's easier to transport them from their house to the pasture way at the other end of the property on that, than trying to get them to walk all that way. The big ones did it during the summer, but these guys are still small ( 50 lbs maybe)

It's collards day. They have been wilted (or they wouldn't have fit in the pot). Now to slow cook.
