Blessings...the little things in life...watching a squirrel trying to walk across the phone/electric wire lines...he cannot keep his balance, whoops....upside down...then right side up...just brings joy to my life...I cannot stay in the house, I love outside with the birds, squirrels, and butterflies...I love to call to the birds, watch the kites tip their wings to me and fly low over my head, and all is the workings of HIS hands...

It would have been 39 for us next month. Our other anniversary would have put us at 26 in June. Miracle years, its a miracle people put up with each other, its a miracle anybody lives through some stuff, its a miracle the in-laws were actually wrong, its a miracle there is a love that strong that even at times when you're not so sure...happy anniversary to everybody that has one to celebrate and still cares.

Thank you Patch and hope the good memories soon out number and to somewhat heal the grief.

.:huggs:

DragonL, I'm thinking of starting some lettuce inside under grow lights. Too hot outside now.

Morning chores and exercise video. Went to thrift shop sale. Visited with friend in nursing home. Stopped st 2nd thrift shop. Went to Dollar Tree for a couple of things. Stopped at a friend's for Avon book. Went to Walgreen's for coupon special for A&H laundry soap. Walmart for a few things. Finally home and just exhausted! Went next door and sat on porch with neighbor for a few minutes and now on this website. I need to make the loquat jam a little later. Maybe

So sweet of you to visit nursing home.

Thank you @Patchouli :huggs: and there are many up and down times in a marriage and the strength of a marriage shows more in how you support each other in the bad times. You are truly blessed to have had a husband who loves, supports and adores you. I am sure he is supporting ,uplifting and sending love to you from afar and looking out for you still and always in good and bad times and is in heavenly fathers loving embrace.

I went to the little town today, a load of aluminum cans to the recycler. a couple things from the market. A big stop at the autoparts store, washer fluid, new wiper blades. I bought a pair of needle nose vicegrips. My dad lost my other ones, or I did, anyway, they have been missing about 3 years.

Round 1 of today is that we have cleared out the rumpus room of the home and DH and I have sectioned and put the tools, gardening equipment and shopping bags away in their allotted spots, it was starting to look like a tool factory down there seriously. I also swept some of the red dust off the siding in the back patio area to clean it up a bit as we are not allowed to clean outdoor structures on water restrictions. While I was there I swept the back patio area as there was woodchips everywhere from us bringing up and stacking firewood there.

DH then washed the dishes and cleaned the benches and I dried them and put them away. DH as he didn't vacuum last week ran the vacuum through the whole house and sucked up all the spiders that had made webs in and around the ceilings and light fixtures so it now sparkles. We also folded two loads of clean laundry and put it away and DH installed the grey water sprinkler on the hose so it can sprinkle the backyard grass.

Doing manly men things as we joke in the meat shed out the back as he is down sharpening our large chainsaw that the chain is quite blunt on after putting two tanks of fuel through it cutting firewood a few days ago and will clean the air filter in it and clean the body of it down so we can cut again shortly. About to put on a loaf of bread for the day in the breadmaking machine.

@Peanut we are fine here it is usually areas around Northern Territory, South and Western Australia that get the worst dust storms but we do get them here too. Before we moved we saw lots of them and it just fills the house inside and outside with dust whether you have the windows shut or not.

We have had rain here recently so not seeing any around here at the moment fortunately. If we get the dust storms badly I get allergic asthma and am pretty much on asthma meds for 2 - 3 days constantly not able to do much at all.

With the lack of rain and drought in most of Australia I think we think it is normal and I just take evasive action when I see them.

Round 2 of today is DH emptied the fireplace of ash and later this afternoon relit it and it is burning and keeping us nice and warm as it has been getting down to single digits here at night. We then juiced the rest of the oranges we had in the fridge and put the juice in the fridge after having a glass each. One of the bags was a kilogram bag I purchased on special for $1 and just the skins were a little marked from growing but nothing wrong with them at all for juicing.

Then I went online and purchased our grocery e-gift card from our roadside assist club saving 5% or $7.88 on the price of our groceries and listed 14 more handmade items on a free listing promotion on eBay.

Tonight's dinner was spam and egg and homegrown onion scambled egg sandwich with a sliced fresh apple each for dessert.
