Hey there Meer - just want you to know it's not that way everywhere. You did specify big meat corps. and I agree with that. But out here, cattle are raised on land that is rated acres/cow not the other way around. No crops could grow or be harvested from the rugged country they graze. Also irksome is that deforestation is blamed on livestock alone, yet we can't opt out of junk mail or plastic packaging which are far less sustainable and far more damaging to earth than beef. It's a much larger issue than just one industry. Just wanted to share that different areas have different experiences. Maybe too political for here - sorry. Delete if necessary.
LadyL of course its not one or the other,just maybe a little more control on both. I'm all for meat just had hamburger yesterday and nothing like a big juicey steak.
