My poplars trees are already dropping leaves. But my grass has went from almost no growth and brown to needing mowed after 5 days and bright green.

The downstairs tenants that I share the back patio with takes care of water the garden, getting the and putting out the trash cans for me while I’m away. They get to harvest whatever is ready for their use. Texted me this picture tonight. There will still be plenty when I get home.

It’s either Waltham or whatever seeds you get at Dollar Tree. I’m not good at marking things

My heirlooms need cut daily or they bolt which they have.

Found several more half dollar sized watermelon in Estelle's wash tub garden.
Been watering several times a day trying to keep things alive.
Picked another handful of green beans.

Has anyone here planted flax? If so, where did you get your seeds?
Are looking to grow for flaxseed and oil or for fiber? A while I started researching for fiber. I did learn that is no dual use variety.

How big of an area are you planning on? Most of the colonial living history museums around here will plant it along fences near the houses.Thank you
Growing to process and spin is something I have always wanted to do but space and time constraints foil me all the time.
It wouldn’t be a very big patch, maybe 10’ x 10’. We didn’t exist during colonial times. We were the great unknown until mid 1800s. Our history is so “new” compared to yours. We don’t have colonial museums
Eden bros was the only one I found and it was “sponsored” and looked very corporate like I wasn’t sure if it was real. Then with nothing to compare to etc.

Thyme Garden has lots of herbs and hops.
So 175-200 seeds per square foot. If I did 100 ft2, I would need many packs - 50 seeds per pack. Might have to explore other options or contact them and ask if there is a by the pound option.
Now I found one- not sure what was going on the other day. I’ve never heard of this company but they sell it by the pound.

@LadyLocust Toad flax grows everywhere here in spring. Somehow i don't think it's the flax you're looking for..
