Made some fresh cherry scones, they are in the oven. It’s Cherry Festival week in town so I’m attempting to be festive. Gonna drink some coffee, eat a fresh scone, work a couple of hours, take mom swimming at the hot springs, and then go help dad with the house for Grandma. We are getting close, actually have cabinets in, doing some painting, and I will start tile this weekend. The husband and boys are the heavy lifters for any crawl space, outdoor landscape, and flooring ops. July 1 is our aim for being complete and getting Grandma moved. We might just make it.

It always seems to take more time than you think it will.

My son was set to remodel his room in a week and we ended up doing a month after stripping and cleaning off the popcorn ceiling, doing the walls, stripping the floors and carpet put down new Bruce hardwood floors, priming twice and painting, all new trim, redoing the dark stained doors white and relocating the Entertainment Center and Cat 6 lines.

Boy does it ever take too long to do something! I've been trying to put up my greenhouses since the snow melted; nothing on the new one yet, baseboards and hoops up on my original but I have to redo my connections on the center purlin, was trying to work in the heat and got it all wonky. Cooler today, going to try again. Apparently the heat intolerance/sun sickness/should have been an Eskimo that has bothered me all my life is really hitting with a vengeance as I age. After 20 minutes working outside I'm so sick I can't think or move and new this year is a rash on my neck and arms.
Next week is supposed to be really hot and my minisplit isn't installed yet. Brother has the electrical line mostly run; hoping he comes back soon and finishes so I can call the installer to get the unit in.
Just finished putting up a new security camera. What a pain. Bought a wifi extender but it won't talk to it, connects to the router but complains about it being too far away. Seems to be working for now, hope it lasts longer than the last one. At least the app interface for it on my phone seems to be better laid out than the first one.

Made it to Jupiter Beach later than we planned. 5 minutes after we got here, a torrential downpour started so we are waiting it out in the car. It's weird, the sun is trying to break through above us but the rain is like being in an automatic car wash. And as I typed that last sentence it just quit! Went from crazy downpour to nothing in about 5 seconds. This Midwestern boy can't get used to Florida weather...

The Atlantic side is more fickle than the Gulf side I think from the time I spent there years ago, It will be full sunshine and you get out in the middle of the park, Next thing you know you are soaked to the skin by a 5 minute downpour and then the sun comes back out and it becomes a Sauna.

It is a wonderful place,,,, As you get up toward Jax the water is not so warm as it is down near the lower quarter.

Glad you and your baby girl are having a lot of time together, it is really great to see kids and their parents so close and making good memories that will last a lifetime.:great:

It's been an ok day & will probably get better. First off, eye appointment. They had computer problems so I sat in a little room for 30 minutes doing nothing while they tried to put in my info. Finally saw the doctor & I got my eye prescription. She also didn't charge me for something because I had to wait so long & they didn't dilate my eyes. Sounds great but I don't pay for those exams anyway. Now I've got a tech coming out to address our phone/tv problem which I'm betting is water related because we had similar problems years ago. My wife is let's just say on edge so she is going to an appointment & then 2 estate sales. Hopefully she will be in a better mode when she comes home. So my mood will hopefully mellow out & my phone company better hope it does.

Phone problems: Randomly about 70% of the time nobody can hear us. Frustrating! But to make it mind blowingly upsetting is that we complained about the problem & our phone service provide keeps CALLING US to talk about our problem!!! It rings & hello, hello, hello because they can't hear us. And even more, I drove there yesterday & made an appointment & today they CALLED US to confirm the appointment. They are going to email me a how did we do after this service call today & they better hope that I'm too "mellow" to fill it out or they will learn new words.

Hot today been 93f real temp, not too humid.

been out for a long time working on the B-O-A-T trying to drain an 80 gallon gas tank that is 3/4 full looks like that would be 60 gallons of gas that sat for nearly 2 years, that Marina gas is not cheap!!!

I have a lot of brush piles to burn after the next rain so I guess I have some starting fluid.

Got a little sweaty I don't like that too much.

I can tell I am older and getting out of shape, never hardly broke a sweat unless the humidity was really high before.

Tracy Lawrence told the story years ago!!!

Grabbed a table at our little farmer's market for a few hours. It's hot out today, in the low 90's, and was glad for the shade, but it was still hot. Had a cage of 7 kittens we brought (free), little granddaughter sold a painting of sunflowers she did, and a painted pencil. No eggs sold. But glad to be minus 7 kittens. Could of stayed another hour, but was ready to leave when the kittens left.
Neighbor is over with their family in one of our big outbuildings. They are amish and keep a freezer in there, and the freezer died. Bad smell, blood leaking all over...they lost alot of good meat. He drove his skid loader over and they're loading it up. Bummer.

Same **** different day. On top of that I added in a trip to the store, gassed up the car, got pulled over for speeding, drove home at only 10mph over the speed limit, did some work on the old metal building I call a house, loaded some magazines, cleaned a couple guns, told my home invader that she could come with me to see my pops tomorrow, called my pops and said she was coming with, listened to him laugh and make whip sounds, paid my speeding ticket online, got some steaks coated in salt/pepper and put in the fridge and now I am just waisting time on the laptop.

No well service people yesterday but I got in touch with them today and some guys came out to fix stuff. It was hot as hell but they got stuff fixed up. I'm hoping it will hold. Will have to go check on things in a bit, but I want to take a shower. So much to do: Wash dishes, do laundry, give dog a bath, clean the air fryer, clean litterboxes, take out trash, etc. Ran out of trash bags though so need to get more.

I'm currently cooling off with 3 fans blowing on me.

Neighbor and family got the freezer mess cleaned up. I got another qt jar of no salt taco seasoning made, I was out. Talked to neighbor about the fire last week, and I guess the firestarter started fires in two ditches, too, left the lighters there and drove off. So the amish farm insurance doesn't cover unharvested stuff, only if the wheat had been harvested. That bites.

I went to clean Mom's toilet and the water was low. Tank didn't sound like it was filling.

I realized the fill valve was clogged (but checked to make sure water was working in sink and from bidet sprayer). Toilet was really disgusting so I used Lysol bowl cleaner in it and let it sit 20min. Watched a video to refresh my memory on how to dismantle that fill valve. Had to use pliers to turn something and a piece of plastic broke off but it wasn't essential. The strainer was blackened and full of chunky crud. Scrubbed it clean, rinsed out the tube it went in, turned shutoff on to let water flow in the tube in the tank to make sure that was clear, put it all back together and did another test to see if water flowed well and it did. Had to fiddle with it to get everything to click back in place and get the float moving smoothly. Finally got it and it works. Didn't have to call my friend over to help so that was a bonus.

I was just about to go take a shower but Mewlatto decided to climb on me. He wants his cuddles.

Our trip to the Atlantic side didn't go as planned, but our goal was to get to a big beach and get in the water and we did. The showers broke and the sun peeked through for an hour or so. We did what we could with the time we had before another downpour came through.

Tomorrow we're doing a swamp buggy tour with my uncle and aunt in the morning before our flight out at 4pm. Then our Florida adventure will be over, but the memories will be forever...

One does not ignore the attentions of a cat :)

I miss our trips to the ocean, I had fun, well mostly :p

Now I settle for the "beach" at the local lake :D

A few years back a friend and I started a Facebook page for buying and selling used Harley Davidson motorcycles parts. We just added 5 local guys we knew that had the same interest. The group has grown to right at 300,000 members and for the last 3 years we have had an annual rally. It will be held at The Farm in Eureka Springs Arkansas next weekend. Jake and I will spend this weekend getting are things ready to camp and meet folks from all over the country. We had people from as far as New York and California last year.

Off from work (finally 🙄)! Got a list a mile long, inside and outside! Laundry, trim Bear's nails, vacuum and mop, clean the bathrooms! Going to mow the immediate yards (all other mowing is done), get a ladder to pick peaches, give the outside cats a good brushing, and Buddy too! Hubby has a washer repair job this morning, I'll make something for breakfast before he has to leave!!

Anything I want to do. Dad is up at the cabin and visiting my brother. Will be going to the bank, doing laundry and mowing the yard sometime this weekend. Other than that, I might just spend the rest of the weekend playing with the looms.

My brother called to let me know he got Dad to use a walking stick as a cane. It's a hickory stick with a big knobby top. I've been trying to get him to use a cane for a while now. At 89, he's wobbly on his feet but also obstinate. Don't know how brother did it but very glad he did. Let's see how long he keeps it up.

Bo and I walked a bit ago.
Will walk dogs on perimeter check in a few minutes.
Then go pick up trash by Church parking lot.
Clean and straighten in Church building.
Grab some bananas for DH.
Go to a business open house- take cookies.
Make blueberry Hawaiian danishes for Father's day at Church.
Also our wedding anniversary, tomorrow. 34 years! A good start!

Was supposed to go see my pops, but he thought I was coming tomorrow and made plans for today with some old buddy of his. So now I am going to spend the day doing chores, working on the compound, doing some grocery shopping and explaining to the lady why I didn't wake her up this morning after all. She will wake up, look at her phone and immediately think I just left her behind. Then she will go on the attack. They call Latina women fiery for a very real reason. Then I will explain what happened and she will instantly go from hot to happy. Or I will already have died in a domestic incident. It's always a roll of the dice. I also need to replace and exterior camera which has been buggy and keeps losing connection.

Up at 0535 and it was 71f so I rolled over, Now it is 76f... Gonna get HOT around 94f L8r :

I woke up early craving a fillet-o-fish sandwich, went to McDs- too got there at 04:10 and they started breakfast at 04:00, too late, so I got a soda and went to the all night pharmacy to get some vitamins and cards. Came home and did some chores for a couple hours till the sun came up, then ran errands. Today we are actually getting some take-out (big deal because of the salt) for fathers day, the plan is to get a whole mess of Chinese food and then have that for Father's day, this way I get a treat, the wife doesn't have to cook and I don't have to break Sabbath, everybody's happy... :)

Today I am focused on garden automation, I'm getting ready to go for a week long trip and don't want to loose the garden in the process. I'm trying to line up help to come in and be with the wife every day that I am gone, easier said than done....

There are No Berries used in the making of that...!!!
If it says berries, I DO NOT use it.
Even a artificial berry can kill me.
Obviously if the label says berries flavoring I WON"T USE IT.
It could kill me. What part of that do you not understand?
And yes, I made Strawberry jam for my grandchildren:
But I also had a respirator mask on, gloves, long sleeves, shoes with paper booties, white disposal outfit on.
I also had EPI pens nearby and EMT standing by.
That's how allergic I am to Strawberries.
Hope this answers your question.

Been a while since I needed a cane, but I keep one in the car. It sucks to not be steady on your feet.
It is scary to be unsteady. It’s been his number complaint as he ages. We are so worried that he’ll fall and at that age a broken anything can be a literal killer. I think my brother also reminded him it could be a weapon.

I don’t think it’s got anything to do with actual berries or berry flavor anything Mo. he uses bees and B’s a lot in his communications. Kinda like how Tony the Tiger used grrrrr in his “they’re grrrrreat.”
